Myself and my new hubby booked 8 rooms in this wonderfully located Guesthouse overlooking Dingle Bay mid October. Dingle is like a second home to me, having spent all my childhood school holidays there with my grandparents, so when it came to deciding on the destination for our wedding it seemed the perfect place. From the moment we visited the guesthouse 2 months prior to the shindig to give it 'the once over' Jackie Heaton showed us around the rooms and was extremely helpful, professional and personable. This is a family run Guesthouse and is indeed a family affair ! the parents, Cameron and Nuala both take an active part in running this establishment and are both hands on, very welcoming and warm people. They looked after us, and indeed all of our guests impeccably ! The guesthouse itself is very clean, has all mod cons and is far superior to the local hotel, rooms are spacious and very comfortable, bathrooms are large with jacuzzi bath and separate power shower, and the views are simply bliss. What makes this guesthouse great in my experience is the 'céad míle fáilte' -the great Irish welcome, which unfortunately in many other establishments around Dingle has been lost. Having stayed in the top hotels around the world, you can have the most stylish of decor and amenities, but without great customer service it is wasted in my view. Heaton's Guesthouse Dingle could teach many similar establishments in the area what fabulous customer service and a real genuine Irish welcome is all about ! our stay was fantastic, and their son cooked us the most amazing and generous portions of breakfast each morning, yum ! which in all truth if you were not as greedy as us would have kept you going till evening ! Simply delicious ! along with a wide variety of cold meats, cheeses, freshly baked homemade breads, scones, and pastries, cereals, juices, fresh fruits, bread and butter pudding(yes you heard correctly, one choice my husband was very partial too and looked forward to!!) All of our guests complimented the level of service, the friendly welcome, and food during their stay and commented they would definitely stay again! this for us was wonderful to hear as many of our guests were on their first visit to Dingle ! Nuala the mother is the nicest person and a real Lady! We have no hesitation whatsoever and would highly recommend Heaton's Guesthouse Dingle, whether it be for a small wedding party, family get together, or romantic getaway, forget your run of the mill hotels, and go for five star stay with the personal touch and a true Irish welcome, we will be going back ! Thank you so much to the Heaton Clan, thank you all for making our wedding so wonderfully memorable ! Beir bua agus Beannacht, Anna Maria & Corin
