“Friendly Atmosphere and clean too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

My fiance and I stayed here for four nights. It was fairly quiet at night, and it was really clean.
It also just felt really comfortable. The various people who works the front desk were always helpful and ready to recommend a good pub to go to for music as well as a good hike. There were only two bad things about this place.
1. The beds were pretty hard.
and 2. It gives you a way higher opinion of hostels so your next hostel will seem quite sad in comparison.

We stayed for two nights in a private room and it was clean, cozy and quiet. The staff was warm and extremely helpful, especially Patrick who enthusiastically answered my constant flow of questions and had wonderful advice on what to check out in the area. Parking was easy to find on the street close to the hostel. The hostel is in a very convenient location, and in walking distance from nearly everything...especially the pubs that have the best traditional music in town! This has been one of my best hosteling experiences in Europe! Highly recommended!!

This was a wonderful hostel! Clean rooms, towels provided, warm cozy beds, excellent location, amazing staff. I wish we could have stayed here longer. Was a little hard to find and we got lucky with parking but I loved staying here. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of four stayed in a room with a private bath. It felt more like a hotel or B&B than a hostel. The room was clean and the double bed was the most comfortable I've ever slep on. The common areas were immaculate and cozy. We met wonderful people from all over and really enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast in the morning was an added perk as well. We considered altering our trip just so we could stay an extra night. The staff was helpful and courteous and we all would go back.

We stayed here for one night with our two sons. The hostel is clean and the room was small but adequate- really what we expected. We asked about staying a second night, but they didn't have a family room available. The staff was polite but not friendly and there was eerie silence in every common area. The kitchen and dining room were adequate and clean. The breakfast of cereal and yogurt was fine. There were really no locks to speak of on the doors-just skeleton keys. This was not a problem for us but may be for others.

Our room was overlooking the main street. I wish that I had taken a picture of the bathroom because it was very ugly but spotlessly clean. The fixtures were bright royal blue and the tile was royal blue with flowers. It was small but adequate. My boys joked that it reminded them of the inside of a porta potty. I reminded them that it was far above that but it was about the same size and dark. We had a double bed and a bunk bed. There were towels provided.

The location was perfect and there was plenty of parking just outside on the street. It was an easy walk to the pubs and shops.

Enjoyed our stay in Dingle. The Hideout Hostel was so conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. Great value for those on a budget. Our room had fabulous water pressure--ahhhhhh! Breakfasts were basic but enough to start the day. Bike rental shop just down the street. Waterfront shops and restaurants also just down the street. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Stayed here recently with friends while travelling round Ireland. I had the luxury of staying in a double bed and had a really comfortable and pleasant night's sleep. The owner Michael and staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast of cereal and toast was good and I'd fully recommend staying here.
