I've been here a few times with my partner and young son and it never fails to please us! The restaurant is situated in the centre of Dingle town upstairs and next door to Dick Macs pub, but it's discreet location could be missed. It has a laid back kind of vibe that I really like in a restaurant- plenty of couches to chill out on if you have kids that like a bit of space when you're eating out. Cosy candlelit atmosphere with a jazz & blues beat in the background, they often have live music although I've not been in on those occasions.
The food however is where it's at here- the French owners have put a nice med spin on their menu- you will get delicious pizzas here with superb toppings and lots of veggie options - walnut, blue cheese & artichokes for example yum yum! Lovely salads - especially their smoked tofu salad which is hearty and zingy all at once. They have the best potato wedges I've tasted in a long time soaked in a garlic butter/ oil with chilli and I am still thinking of them days later. There are some very tasty looking steaks and other meat and fish dishes which I didn't try being a veggie but I could see others were thoroughly enjoying their food. Desserts are lovely (amaretti ice cream with almonds and honey, french vanilla, pear tarts, chocolate cakes etc). The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly & easy going but attentive and kids are accommodated nicely! Even though there are lovely restaurants around Dingle I have found it hard to find one that suits the tastes of a veggie kid and menus that do not insist on including goats cheese in every veggie dish!!!!! This place however does the trick nicely.
