“Adorable B&B, wonderful view, excellent hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We stayed there for two nights and we would stay longer if only we had more time. The location was just perfect, peaceful and romantic with amazing view across a green pasture onto the Atlantic inlet. And just 15 minutes walk through the countryside to center of Kenmare. The room was very spacious and clean, with lovely decor, very comfortable double bed and a large sparkling clean bathroom with a hot tab. Breakfast was tasteful and served in a cozy dining room that faced the Kenmare bay. The hosts were gracious and very helpful, providing us with maps and lot of valuable tips to help us plan our route on the Ring of Kerry and the rest of our journey.
It was really an unforgettable experience, many many thanks.

Absolutely the best B&B we stayed in on our two week trip. Convenient to everything with large rooms. Owen and Pat couldn't be nicer and the breakfast was great. Gorgeous view from our room. Very highly recommended!!!

Every detail is lovely. From the spotless rooms, comfy bed, wonderful breakfasts and views to the gracious hospitality of the owners. We had several phone calls with the owners as we made our way south through thick fog and their concern for our safety was truly appreciated. Just can't say enough about the quality of this B&B and the owners. Thank you!

Room Tip: Room 2 is large and has a wonderful view.

Pat and Owen made our 3 night stay extremely enjoyable. We liked their guest house more than the more expensive places that we stayed elsewhere. Our room was well appointed, very clean and had a wonderful view of the river and hills. We enjoyed using it as a base to explore other locations. Pat made us a delicious hot breakfast each day with the most memorable being oatmeal with Baileys on the side. Yummy! If we were ever to go back, we would stay there again. Thank you Pat and Owen for your fantastic service and for allowing us to feel like part of your family.

We just got back from two weeks in Ireland--stayed here the last weekend in June. What a lovely location! The view across the bay is beautiful and the accommodations were the nicest we experienced during the whole trip. The inn is a ten minute walk from town, so you can park your car and explore on foot. Our room was bright and airy as was the en suite bathroom. Everything was spotless. You cannot go wrong!

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the bay.

Sea Shore Farm Bed & Breakfast was one of the highlights of our family's trip to Ireland. Owen and Mary Patricia O'Sullivan are the kindest and most welcoming hosts, and their rooms are large, clean, and beautifully appointed. The view of the bay (and the walk to the water) is spectacular, and adds to the ambiance. The small touches like the in-room safe, towel heaters in the bathrooms, multiple electrical outlets, and personalized directions and recommendations to local attractions and restaurants were appreciated. Mary Patricia's breakfasts are outstanding, and the warm and welcoming feeling was tangible throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

My family just returned from their first -- and my sixth! -- visit to Ireland. Mary Patricia and Owen's Sea Shore Farm was all that I remembered. See my earlier reviews of Sept. 21, 2010 and May 25, 2011. I've stayed in dozens of places in Ireland over the past seventeen years. Sea Shore is far and away my favorite. The hosts are the best. The location is unsurpassed. The rooms are excellent. The food is fine.

And when you go, don't motor into Kenmare but walk the lovely lane, smell the flowers, and watch the four calves romping in the field twenty feet away like a teenage gang, their mothers helpless in restraining them. The ewes in the next pasture have been luck with their lambs.

And try for Room No. 5, with its floor to ceiling windows looking out upon the Kenmare River and the rolling mountains of Beara on the far side. That's a sight to wake up to!!
