“Lovely calm place right near Kenmare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

Spacious, very tidy rooms with great views of Kenmare bay. Delicious breakfasts and the friendliest hosts you'll ever meet. Owen and Mary Patricia are so welcoming and give you lots of advice on where to go and what to see. Kenmare is just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk.

We spent two nights at Sea Shore Farm B&B last March as part of our first, 3-week trip to Ireland. We had a wonderful stay. We were the first guests of the season, and we were the only guests during our time there. We had an absolutely gorgeous large room on the second floor with a spectacular view of the fields and bay beyond. The room had everything you could ask for – including a wonderful bed with a beautiful quilt, a large mirror, and tons of closet and drawer space - and was absolutely spotless. The breakfast room and guest lounge are lovely, and Pat and Owen have a wonderful collection of books about Kenmare and the surrounding area. As others have noted, the location is perfect: 5 minutes’ drive from Kenmare and convenient for drives to Killarney National Park, Muckross House, and the Beara Peninsula. Pat and Owen are just the best: from the welcome tray with tea and cake to their generosity with information and advice, both of them go out of their way to make your stay as nice as it can be. We loved talking with them at breakfast and appreciated their help in planning what to see and do in Kenmare and during the rest of our trip. Other B&B owners should stay here to see how to run a luxurious, welcoming B&B and create wonderful memories for their guests. We can’t think of a nicer B&B – or nicer people - anywhere.

The Sea Shore Farm Guesthouse, and their gracious hosts Owen and Pat, truly deserve all the wonderful reviews they have received on TripAdvisor. My family of four spent 2 nights there this month and we wished we could have stayed longer. The family room (2 inter-connecting rooms each with its own bathroom) was comfortable, exceptionally clean and spacious. The welcoming pot of tea and cake and the breakfasts were fabulous! What makes this B&B so special is its hosts. Owen and Pat go out of their way to make you feel at home and to help plan your stay in Kenmare and the Ring of Kerry. We had a great stay here! I would highly recommend!

We spent 1 night at the Sea Shore Farm B & B, and as soon as we arrived we agreed that it was somewhere we would like to stay longer. Unfortunately, our itinerary was set and we couldn't extend our stay.

The house is located on a narrow lane, just a short distance from Kenmare. Our room looked out over the bay to the hills beyond, and the view was spectacular in the evening sun. The room was large and nicely decorated. The bathroom was large as well, and very modern. Both rooms and the whole house in general were impeccably clean. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening, and then spent time in the guest lounge.

Owen and Mary were excellent hosts, and were very knowledgeable about several areas of Ireland that we had yet to visit. We truly enjoyed our time with them, and at their lovely B & B.

A beautiful, quiet setting just outside of town overlooking the bay. Mary and Owen were very welcoming and helpful. Everything worked fine with our two rooms and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served with a lots of attention from Owen. Everything a B&B is supposed to be. I rated Value - Average below as the cost was on par with other B&Bs in Ireland we stayed out of similar quality.

Cows in the pasture, scenic lake with mountains too! Breath taking. Owen should be a travel guide. Patricia's breakfast were excellent and quite filling. Didn't have to eat until dinner. A little too far to walk to town in inclement weather but great parking at edge of town. Great restaurants too!

We stayed with my family just one night and we were very happy to choose it. The tenant was very nice and attentive to our stay. He welcomed us with cups of tea and cakes. The room was really spacious with a bay view and was linked through the bathroom to the children room. Everything was clean and the breakfast was good. One negative point : the temperature within the room. A little bit warmer would be perfect.
