“A piece of Italy in Kenmare”

Warm welcome and perfect mixture of Irish and Italian cooking traditions. Excellent cakes and Italian espresso for breakfast. Wonderful home made soups and vegetarian dishes for lunch. Friendly staff, really nice place.

“The ideal Restaurant-Cafè for everybody”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

Very fresh food and delicious cakes in lovely atmosphere . You can find very good quality at reasonable prices. I really appreciated the local salmon (I have had salmon 4 times in a week) and the wide selection of salad and snacks. If you come to Kenmare do not forget to have a relaxing break in BreadCrumb

“Slow”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

It's nice but you wouldn't want to be in any hurry. At least there are books to read if you can get a seat inside. Avoid it between one and two.

“The Breadcrumb”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

When we arrived the cafe was very busy so we took this as a good sign. Our meals weren't great. The tomatoes in the salad were soft and had been sitting too long in dressing. The carrot salad had way too much coriander in it which overpowered the taste of the carrots. The wrap I ordered had the wrong ingredients in it. I was quite disappointed as we had read such good reviews. The cafe was lovely and staff were quite friendly so maybe this was just a blip!

“High Quality and excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

We stopped in here en route to Schull on the busy Saturday of Bank Holiday weekend for lunch. Kenmare itself was already very busy, particularly the main street. The Breadcrumb, just off the main street, was nicely busy, but not packed. Outside tables were full given the nice weather but we got a big table for the family inside. Friendly and attentive service, yet great relaxed atmosphere amongst the coffee drinkers and lunchers chatting/browsing the papers.
Good, homemade food - frittata and BLT were very tasty; accompanying salads were excellent. Cappuccino was very good. A sense of love and care invested in the place and the product and service.
High quality and exceptional value.
