“WOW - What a step back in time . . .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Our visit to Molly’s happened on a day that had on and off rains spells. But we are so pleased and happy that we stopped at Molly’s cottage and farm.

The history of Molly, her farm, and her potent homemade whiskey is legendary. She sold homemade baking goods as well as spun woolens. Her most profitable income came from her whiskey.

As a widow she raised seven children in a fairly small dwelling and managed to grow potatoes and barley and other farm produce and sheep.

This tour is very walkable and really allows yourself to transport yourself back a few hundreds of years to just imagine what it would be like for you to have lived then. The Brochure says 5000 years of history on a 500 meter walk.

“Be My Guest Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

The owner Steven and his lovely family provided a lovely home cooked meal and entertainment. The place is decked with traditional decor and it is a beautiful place and a great tribute to Molly Gallivan. There is also a huge shopping area to the back of the "barn" that stocks lots of warm clothing. Though, I did not taste the wine or whiskey, my friends said that it was great. The people are friendly and will try their best to accommodate your request. Thank you Steven, family and Aunty!!!

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Enjoyed the scenic drive and lookout to Molly Gallivan's Cottage then had the most amazing meals and drinks. Everything was fresh and homemade from the farm. The wine was unlike any other I've tasted and they don't sell so you have to come here for it - which is worth it alone! Then we saw the farm and a bread making demonstration which was all really interesting (learning about the old ways) and cute (animals on the farm). The people were the best though, couldn't do enough for you and funny to boot.

“Beautiful gem of the West”

Nice place to stop for a visit, to shop and to remember how it used to be in the old days. Would recommend anyone to halt when passing by.
