5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

Myself and my wife and our two boys (3 & 5) bravely decided to head to Dromquinna Manor for the Easter Break and try out some Glamping. The tents are pitched and fully furnished including luxury beds which are mounted on tree logs. The tents are much bigger than expected with losts of room for all our stuff. Our main concern was the cold but at night you are very warm in the snug beds, during the day just need to make sure that you have suitable clothing as there is no heating in the tent itself. The facilities are excellent with a fully supplied kitchen for cooking and cleaning, which was handy for getting hot water and also cooking kids dinners / breakfasts. There is also bbq available so we cooked dinner each night that we were there.

Each morning we would have our breakfast just outside our tent, hot coffee and fresh croissants from the onsite shop, looking out at the view of kenmare bay. In the evening watching the sunset over the Beara peninsula with a bottle of red wine and some local cheese, the kids exhausted from a hectic day of exploring, priceless.

On the estate there is a restaurant called the Boat House which just opened. The food was fantastic, all fresh and very tasty and reasonably priced.
