“Sea Breeze + Solway Lass - Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

We arrived at The Sea Breeze Tourist Park full of expectation - having organised a caravan site - a sail aboard Solway Lass and leaving the van and car in storage while onboard. Karen organised the lot - I changed my date of arrival several times - not sure when I would make town and after eventually settling for a sail date had no issues adjusting (obviously not peek season). Park people were super welcoming - Solway Lass was a perfect getaway vessel - the local residents in Sea Breeze were fantastic help and company - being on the road for some time the communal facilities were close if not the best we have seen. Suggest you give these guys a go - ask for Karen (super impressive)

Room Tip: Driving a van - ask for site 20 - great location.

We camped here in an unpowered site for 2 nights. The communal areas were modern, clean and well looked after. Kitchen has 2 lovely BBQs, toasters, kettles, hot tops, microwaves, TV and sheltered dining area. The bathrooms are spacious and brand new. Laundry facilities are good too. They have a small pool which is nice for those hot days. As for location, well, you can't really beat it. It's situated next to a Coles shopping centre, bank (ATM), pharmacy etc. and there is a boardwalk in front that takes you along the sea front into Airlie Beach. A very scenic 20 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful both with local info and booking tours. Overall we had a nice and relaxing stay here.

We stayed here for two nights in a camper van on a powered site. The bathroom facilities were really good toilet shower and sink all in one room modern and good showers very clean. Laundry facilities great and plenty of room to line dry clothes. The pool is a real good bonus. We booked a trip through reception and got a discount on our stay. The site is very close to shops and just across the road from the sea where you can do a short board walk to airlie beach. We had stayed at alot of camper van sites up the east coast and this was definitely one of the nicest all tge the price was the same as some of the shabby sites we had stayed at so very good for your money.

Nice staff that was a great help to us for booking a sailingtour.
Enough trees on the campsite for shadow.
A pity is that TV in the kitchen switched of automatically at 22.00. Even during the semi-final of the Australia Open Tennis.

The new Bali Huts look great and are very comfortable. Very Spacious - there was myself and my wife, with two teenagers on a fold out sofa.
Some minor things that could be rectified:

As the dark wood colour is evident inside, the lighting is inadequate. During a bright day, it's difficult to read anything inside without the lights turned on. But the lights are all a low wattage energy saver type, so this did not help much either . May I suggest some stronger globes be used in the main living area.

Also, free wifi was advertised, but because the Bali huts are towards the rear of the park, the signal did not reach us, though this was going to be remedied in the future.

My wife commented for such a large interior space inside the Bali hut, the kitchenette was a little on the small side. The mini fridge proved to be a challenge for our stay trying to fit our food in, but would be more of an issue for any family staying longer than the four nights we were for. Additionally, the freezer part of the fridge could not make ice, even with the fridge turned up to the max.

The Bathroom is superb!

The Park itself is very clean and reasonably quiet. It's in a great location, close to shops and Banjos Bistro and Bar.

All in all, very happy with our stay...just needs those few items rectified.

We found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Our choice of accomodation was the single Bali Villa which we found to be well presented and comfortable. The only downside was the lighting for the lounge area of the villa was very poor and hard to see. Easily fixed with higher wattage globes.Overall our stay was very comfortable
