We stayed in the deluxe cabins: it was nice to have 2 private rooms. The location is great: some of the other reviews were whining about the distance to town, but that was not an issue for us. There is a great boardwalk that runs next to the ocean that you can walk the 2 km in to town. More importantly, about 20 minutes towards town along that same boardwalk is Abel Point, where all the ships sail from. Very handy! Also, they have a free shuttle that runs downtown if you want to catch that. The cabins themselves weren't stellar, but were clean and orderly. The AC was sufficient (and a requirement!). The area was also quiet and restful. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We liked it enough to come back for a couple more days than we had planned. A very good budget option for seeing the Whitsundays/Airlie Beach!
