“Beautiful resort, experience a lot better than expected!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

We spent 4 nights at Paradise Island in end May/ early Jun 2013. Ours was a last minute booking for a family of 2 adults & 2 kids in a beach bungalow. The pick up from the airport, speed boat ride and check in at the resort were all flawless. Then we were left to ourselves to find our bungalow- honestly not such a big deal with clear directions everywhere. The bungalow with the extra child bed was all set up. This efficiency was a constant feature at Paradise, even if the place is a bit impersonal. Our half board package gave us breakfast & dinner at Bageecha restaurant which were big spreads with a lot of choices. You get assigned a table for your stay and the same waiter assists you, not necessarily with a lot of warmth! The Italian restaurant also gives a lot of good choices. The bar, whether at sunset or noon, overlooks the lagoon and offers marvellous views.
White sands make the island very beautiful, and the clear waters were only a few steps from the rear gate of our bungalow. The weather during our entire stay was pleasant. The snorkeling, para sailing is top class, if a tard on the expensive side. But the staff there is excellent. The spa is decent without being a whole lot to gush about.
Like with Maldives all over, the waters are crystal clear and one can see marine life right through. A nice spot to see the multi coloured fish is from the jetty, views we have seen only in aquariums. On deaprture, the check out process was smooth and another boat ride to the airport and it was good bye to beautiful Maldives.
Some areas where we feel things may have been better--At times, we did see a few ants & insects in the bathroom, but I guess it is inevitable on a tropical island. The resort does seem a bit dimly lit up at night, but that too is a different kind of experience. The staff, while being efficient, do not offer any personal touch.

Room Tip: Ideally not very far from the reception and the water sports areas. One side has a lot of trees and...

We had been transfered from another resort to stay in paradise island for one night due to weather conditions before catching our flight. The beach villa was full of bugs and ants were to be seen everywhere on the floor inside the villa. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was so bad that we haven't even finished half of it.

The resort is very beautiful with White sands & clear water. We spend three nights at the resort. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The food was delicious. I would recommend this resort for anyone who just want to relax and have a peaceful and romantic vacation.

Blissful, will definitely come back. Great service and infrastructure. Highly recommended to everyone.
The view is great from each room. The problem is you can't get much souvenir here and it is quite expensive. Pretty much everything is chargeable.
Water and other soft drinks are chargeable except for the morning juices and coffee and tea.
The good thing is there were other restaurants open if you miss the buffet eating time. For those who love Indian food; there different varieties except repetitive everyday. For those who don't, well you can always settle on their western dishes.

Room Tip: Rooms with the beach front is good for families with small children. Easy access for children to the...

We had the best vacation ever. A very nice place to relax and unwind! We stayed a total of 6 days but i feel that it's still not enough, never wanna go back home!
A very unforgettable experience, we stayed on a beach bungalow for our first 3nights, room 275 is a very nice location coz it has a good view very close to the shore and you'll have a nice view of the water villas. It's also just a few minutes walk to the reception, main restaurant and the spa.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful. On our last 2 nights we upgraded to a Haven villa, as the resort offers a special rate for an upgrade of a lifetime! Money well spent! We really loved the Haven villa!
The staffs in The Lagoon bar and resto are the best, especially Irene and Carol, very helpful and professional. They also have a lagoon at the middle of the resto where you can feed the fishes with bread crumbs.
There's also shark feeding every 8pm at the Farumati resto. So many reef sharks awaiting to be fed chunks of tuna!
It is a paradise indeed!
I'll definitely come back.

Just back from a invigorating trip from Paradise island resort,Maldives.Though the trip started by my bag getting mis. placed ,but this problem was efficiently solved by the resort's staff.Later the trip was just bliss. We were met by Mr.Luthfy,a man of genial disposition ,who led us to our Superior beach bungalows. Thanks again to Mr.Thasneef for allotting us bungalows near the main lobby. That was really a boon for we 50plus tourists. We were enraptured by the beauty around us,the white pristine beaches and blue ocean lagoon was mesmerising.we stayed in bungalows no.105 n 106.just a few metres away from the beach. The food served at Bageecha restaurant was very lavish but good seafood was lacking. The ambience at the Italian restaurant was mindblowing. On the whole Paradise was really paradise on earth.Haven or water villas were really top notch.

Room Tip: Rooms near the main lobby very good for elderly couples

Well, I was arrange to stay in for a night due to flight cancel at airport.
The Island is one of the oldest resort in Maldives, indeed, the design, facilities & equipment is look old fashion.
As only staying 1 night, nothing much to say about the other but the F&B.
Having the breakfast at the main restaurant, the receptionist at the restaurant arranged my seat, after taken the buffet breakfast, another waitress ask why I'm seated on this table, which belongs to different room number. With unfriendly tones, he start taking my plates and try arrange me to another table. After confirm with the receptionist, I remain at the same table but the waitress just walk away without any apologize for his rudeness. (Just forget to mark down his name)

Variety of the food is ok, but the quality of the food is poor
