Our stay was excellent.
Management and staff ensured that we feel welcome.
The trip down the Kloof was also something special and we can definately recommend that one visit this venue when in the area.
The dirt road was also in an excellent condition.

We spent three nights at this wonderful accommodation. Ans and Gerhard made sure we felt at home, and were super friendly. Michael took us on various drives and helped us spot a great range of animals. Meanwhile Jeanine cooked us wonderful meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views and the peaceful surroundings! Would definitely recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a getaway close to capetown!

What a fantastic surprise Bosch Luys Kloof Private Reserve was. We have travelled widely in South Africa, and this reserve has natural scenery that is unique and breathtaking. The lodge, food and accommodation is unquestionably 5 star, and is equivalent to or better than many private lodges we have stayed at which charge at least 3-4 times the price per night. The hosts and the service is friendly and top notch. This is not a "big five' game reserve, however there is much non-big five game. This an ideal spot for those who appreciate natural beauty, breath taking views, enjoy peace and quiet, clear skies, good food and stylish luxury accommodation (at an excellent price),organised game drives and the freedom to walk, cycle or drive oneself. A real get away from it all spot. No mobile phone reception or internet access (contact possible via reception). In reality not less than a 4 hour drive from Cape Town.

Room Tip: All rooms are separate, quiet and well located from a view perspective.

This is a very special place. The stunning beauty of the mountains in the ever changing light, the peace and tranquility together with the interesting birds, animals, plants and fossils make it unfforgettable. The accommodation was comfortable and well appointed in keeping with the environment. The food was delicious and Gerard, Ans and their team could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We hope to return.

We had an absolutely lovely few days at Bosch Luys Kloof. The setting on the private nature reserve is amazing - tranquil, isolated, beautiful views, excellent star-gazing. Everything about the lodge is great too and Gerhard and Ans went out of their way to welcome us and are incredibly friendly. Our room was tastefully put together and very comfortable, the chef-cooked meals were very tasty and Michael was a great nature guide. They are clearly very passionate about the reserve and the lodge, and it shows. We can't recommend BLK highly enough, and hope we get a chance to go back soon with our walking boots so we can explore more of this amazing place.

The perfect place to get away from everyday life. So peaceful, so quiet but also so beautiful. The combination of unspoilt Karoo landscape, the breathtaking views, awesome pass and the elegance of the accommodation is unbeatable! Gerhard and Ans and the staff are attentive and taking care of all your needs in their special, friendly way. Wish we could stay forever!

Room Tip: The view from the guesthouse is stunning and shaded parking at the house available for your car.
