“Excellent hotel - friendly, clean and great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2010

Went to Crossmaglen for golf (not exactly golfing mecca of the north!) and stayed here for couple nights. Staff - Tina in particular - were very friendly and were happy to do anything to help, from sorting out discounted golf in Concra Wood (which will be one of the premier courses in Ireland in a couple of years!) one of the 4 courses within a 20 minute drive, to telling us which pubs had something on. Food was great - 2 three course meals with couple of pints and couple of glasses of wine for under £40 - where would you get it. Great wee town and you would not be disappointed with your stay in this lovely friendly hotel. Thanks

Stayed here on the recommendation of family in the area. The staff made you feel at home and the food was incredible. There is a weekend market in the town square just outside the hotel where you can get anything from vegetables to paper towels to clothing. There is also a great bakery and chip shop on the square; a very nice little town! WIll definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Cross Hotel in Crossmaglen recently for a family wedding. Although the wedding wasn't at the hotel we had a great time. Hotels can be impersonal places at times, but we were made to feel really welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The rooms are clean, pleasant and comfortable. The breakfasts are enormous and always seved with a smile. We'll be back!

i can not rave enough about this place. tina and fiona were wonderful people and treated like family. the place is very clean and has great views of the city. The town itself is wonderful and the people are even better. The food was great along with the dining area. I highly suggest staying here!! The pubs are great and i suggest going to the ma kearneys and also the bar in the hotel.

From the moment I phoned before arrival to ask for a specific room till the minute I left after 3 great nights stay I cannot find fault with anything to do with this smashing hotel.
We were greeted at the door by Fiona, the owner, as we arrived and from then on were treated royally.
I was part of a large group of Scottish lecturers and students attending the Celtic Media Festival in nearby Newry and for most of us this was our first visit to Armagh. Given the warmth of reception and fantastic experience at the Cross Square I can safely say that for most of us it wont be our last.
Our rooms were spacious and classy with crisp white linen on the beds and, in my case , a grand view of the village square. The bathrooms were modern and all in all the rooms , hotel facilities and service were way beyond what one would expect given the cost of staying here.
All the staff were warm, friendly and incredibly helpful.Nothing was too much trouble at any hour of the day....or night.
Crossmaglen itself is a great base for exploring Amargh and has 14, yes 14, terrific pubs.It also has one of the finest Gaelic Football clubs in Ireland,Crossmaglen Rangers and I recommend a visit to one of their games.
I had a wonderful time at the Cross Square and cannot wait to return with my family.I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This hotel is in a remote village about 30mins from newry. A nice scenic spot but not much to do there. The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean, flat screen tvs, lovely bathroom, a very comfortable room. Breakfast is very nice and hotel staff are amicable. While it was a very pleasant stay there was nothing special about it. However it is excellent value for money as rooms are in very nice shape! Provides a comfortable break in a quiet area away from city life but I wouldnt want to stay longer than 2 nights.

We went to Crossmaglen to trace relatives (found them) and found a great hotel in the process. A really friendly place to visit and we would recommend a visit to the area and the hotel.
