Went on a Friday night whist staying near Ripon. We were met by the owner and seated at the small bar area whilst waiting for our table. The owner engaged us in conversation even though the restaurant was very busy. Discussed the menu and wine list and gave advice on choice. We both enjoyed our starters of soup and whitebait. Our mains courses of chicken with chorizo, duck with braised red cabbage were beautifully cooked and presented. The meal was very tasty and the whole experience good.
