“Average but quick ish on takeaways.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Can't say a lot because the food here is pretty standard fare but I am writing this review in an attempt to be useful by saying that in our experience the time from ordering to collecting has usually been noticeably quicker than the other Indian just up the road.

“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

I've mixed feelings about this restaurant.

A few years ago we used to come here fairly regulary, as it was cheap, cheapful and allowed you to bring your own booze. We used to have a set meal for 2 that was more food than you could ever eat, they let you change the mains and was only £20. That meant you could have a very good night out with lots of drinks for next to nothing.

Then they removed the set menu.

At this point it became just as expensive as other offerings, but the poor service due to lack of staff, delays and canteen like decor become a turn off, and we go to Saltash Tandoori instead.

We've never had a problem with the food here, infact its quite nice.

Tonight we ordered a take a way for delivery. I phoned my order through an hour and a half before I wanted delivery, to co-incide with my babys bed time, and after 35 minutes it hadn't arrived. I phoned and was promised it in 15 to 20 minutes, which I didn't believe so I cancelled it as it would now be too late, with a limp apology, no remorse or sense that they cared one bit.

As luck would have it I had a jumbo bag of crisps in the cupboard and a pizza in the freezer so the wife managed to eat, but had we ordered this with friends around it would have been embarassing.

Wont be chancing it again.

“Good!”

Had a cracking takeaway from here whilst staying with family! All dishes came in good sizes and the flavours were excellent!

“Great little Indian!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

We are lucky enough to live within the Blue Moon's delivery area, and regularly receive tasty curries from them. Our favourite is the Phall, which is extremely spicy, yet still full of flavour, and is great when consumed in combination with a milder curry such as the Murugh Makhni, which is a yummy sweet fruity flavour.
Delivery usually takes about 40 minutes, and food always arrives piping hot. Occasionally we have received our neighbours' delivery and vice versa, but it didn't take the folks at the Blue Moon long to figure out that the vegetarians live next door!

“Average but Indian restaurants should be better.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

Seen this place here for about three years. Called in one evening after a few beers in the sailing club. Have to say that it is OK and offers most of the routine standard menu you can get anywhere. But of course this type of food is getting more competitive. Lots of choice and competition. For the same prices you can now expect fresher more subtle or creative and varied food. This place is bland decor and predictable unexciting cooking. Friendly and efficient staff but we didn't come for niceness or politeness.
