We booked a table here for dinner off the back of the reviews on Tripadvisor and weren't disappointed with the food. Its very much a locals small pub, however everyone was friendly and a gentleman at the bar (who we assumed to be the landlord) welcomed us warmly. We loved the atmosphere and the 'not-trying' look and feel of the pub. Some would say it looks rough but we felt it was charming and natural for a tiny local.
The food was great. We both had surf and turf, the steak cooked perfectly and tons of crab!
The only downside for me was the open fire which caused my eyes to sting from the smoke, meaning we didn't stay for dessert. Although the locals were doing their best to dull the smoke with water etc.
