“Great two days out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

Having an interest in trams and classic minis I decided to visit on the weekend of the mini meet and arrived the day before so visited on arrival and the day of the mini meet as the tickets once paid are valid for a year. All I can say about this place is that it looks small from the outside but big inside and that even though I went two days I didn't have enough time to see everything. Would recommend and will visit again. Only complaints are that prices in gift shop are a bit steep and that the rules are a bit too over the top on certain things.

“Really enjoyed it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

At first i was a little hesitent to go as i am not really a big car or tram person but once in i loved it. It was very nice and the ticket i bought lasted me a year. I did love to go on the tram my children enjoyed sitting ontop after going up the old stairs and having their tickets stamped by the conductor. The shop was also lovely and it was a lovely way to travel around the place. The place had a short walk but what it lacked it milage it gain for in size of playarea. The size was massive and very clean. Our dog was also allowed in which was an added bonus! I would definatly recomend this place especially if you have young children or transport enthusiasts in your family. Very nice but only on a good day. This place is not very buggy friendly as lots of steps and not very many other ways to get around other than the steep steps.

“Lovely Step Back Into Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

A pretty little village lets you step back into a time when journeys by tram were common place. The village has a traditional sweet shop and pub, cafe as well as a very interesting museum and a large tram shed with an extensive collection of old and new.
You can have unlimited trips up and down by tram, there is a very pretty woodland walk with ample benches for you to enjoy a picnic while the children run off some excess energy in the large safe picnic area overlooking stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Your ticket is valid for 12 months.

“Fabulous Day Out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This place is fantastic. The dedication from the volunteers to get the site and trams to the standard that they are is remarkable. Take a trip on one of the numerous original trams along the mile long track and explore the museum and rest of the site at your leisure. Absolutely superb.

“Its ok....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

You pay once and can go all year but they are really picky about this as I went once in summer 2012 then returned October 12...and my signature was slightly diffrent to the one I did first off and they really was humming about letting us in....
But its nice I'm sure you couldn't spend a whole day there but there's loads to do in the surrounding areas...
