We visited this attraction on a Sunday and got on at Darley Bridge halfway between Rowsley and Matlock. We had about four runs up and down, some with a diesel and others with steam.
The sound of the steam engine was great and very atmospheric. We didn't know until we got there but you can book to have Sunday lunch on the train, and the food is actually cooked whilst you travel. This was very popular and there were two carriages full of diners! A lovely day out.
