“the Hotel to stay INN.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

My wife and i spent three nights in the Rising Sun.
From arrival to departure,we experienced first class service and a very friendly Management and staff.
The dinner menu, is the most comprehensive, we have experienced, and the food is absolutely superb, cooked to perfection and beautifully served.
This was not our first visit to the Hotel, and God willing it will not be our last.

Room Tip: from our observations it would appear that all the rooms are (as the question puts it ) good

We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant and found the menu to be very varied with plenty of vegi and fish dishes. The prices were reasonable, the service quick and friendly. The portions are large so after two course we were all full. The hotel gardens are also beautiful and make for a lovely place to sit on a warm evening.

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Traditional and interesting. Staff were very pleasant and engaging with all the party - given our different requests. Had an evening meal - very nice but not perfectly cooked for total foodies! Breakfast was included if you fancy continental but cooked breakfasts were extra - no probs if that's what you fancy.

A little isolated but absolutely fine if you're driving. Plenty of parking and lovely outdoor garden

Great place for a family lunch or a large group of friends. The staff very friendly and understanding and the food as well as wine list were very good and reasonable value. I did nopt experience the rooms, only the bar and restaurant. Recommended.
