“A real treat in wonderful charming surroundings.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

Tea for two in one of the prettiest court yards. The interior of the cafe is as elegant as the exterior. Beautiful decor adorns this lovely building. We decided on the Lavender cup cakes and a pot of tea. This arrived swiftly and with a smile. The beautiful large china tea pot poured the loveliest quality clear tea. In all £7.00 for several cups sipped from china cups, and two large lavender cup cakes. Fabulous value for a lovely relaxing shopping break in charming surroundings.

“Hmmmmm hmmmm delicious - beautiful afternoon tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

A hidden gem indeed! Situated off the main street in a beautiful courtyard with other great shops. The food was beautiful and service excellent. Thank you and I'll absolutely be back. Trip advisor was invented s you can find and pass on to other people.

“quaint, hidden gem....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

came across this by my love of all things quaint. Hidden away in quiet courtyard with couple of fantastic bric a brac shops but items you would only find from your past if you really look. Fabulous. There was the Lavender tea rooms..... in the village of bakewell, lovely atmosphere, quaint inside and outside seating all perfect regardless of choice and completley 'smoke free' perfection for me that...
Anyway back to the lavender tea room.Quanit, traditional, lovely choice of beverages and homemade cakes and local food. We sat inside although it was spectacular sunny day, needed some shade(well i did not but other half did) how perfect timing was this to stop , we had Katherine Jenkins singing in the background(in welsh at the time, one of my father's favourite hymns, just perfect)..... staff and service was warm and friendly but not over bearing... Two young polite gentleman well dressed serving, it was just soooooo perfect..... that will be definately our hot spot refreshment break when we visit again and we will.....

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

We stumbled across this little tea room en route to the toy shop! It is tucked away in a beautiful little courtyard off the main road. There is plenty of choice on the extensive drinks & food menu. We sat outside on a lovely sunny day with our dogs and children. All the tea and cakes were served in china crockery (when my 7 month old baby broke a cup staff were absolutely fine about it! Ooops!). I recommend the Lavender tea. Not only do you get a pot of English breakfast tea, but a cream & jam scone and a lavender flavoured cup cake (la piece de resistance!). Well worth a visit!
