Nothing to fault, you get what you pay for,no toiletries or phone in room.Though not really necessary. We ate in the Brewers Fayre for breakfast and tea, fresh and good selection.Free parking but need to pay $3p for 24hr wifi.Staff helpful and thorough in all respects.

I stayed here in early October ready for a business meeting for the following day. I like to choose Premier Inn, firstly because I know what I am getting, but secondly as a woman who travels on my own I know that I feel reasonably safe.
I arrived fairly late in the evening and the parking was well lit and spaces were available close to the entrance which was useful given the rain. The staff on duty were friendly and helpful - they always seem to know the right level to service to give (i.e. they don't talk to you too much if you have just driven 150 miles and are knackered!). I found my room quickly and got settled in!.
The room was clean, comfortable and most importantly for me, quiet. I didn't take and evening meal but breakfast was good, everything was cooked and prepared to order - - but the restaurant was very quiet.
All in all it was a lovely stay and if I was ever in the area again I would not hesitate to stay again

We stayed at this Premier Inn for one night and were very impressed. The reception staff were excellent, the room clean and tidy, the bed very comfortable, the triple glazing kept all the external noise out and the shower was great. We ate in the Brewers Fayre restaurant and had a super meal, served by friendly and efficient staff. We highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice welcome from Rosie on reception....similar care from other staff :-)
Larger than normal rooms
Lift to 2nd floor v.welcome....as a back suffer v.thankful!
Good comfortable bed
Would advise ear plugs if light sleeper.....as close to railway line....

Breakfast can't be faulted in my book...
However evening meals v.calorific....no healthy options @ the adjoining Locks Inn
On several nights we started our evening meal @ the locks inn with a silent tv on = fine but......found tv volume ^ to ear splitting volume @ 2 persons requested......not relaxing eating!
Would advise walking up the road as several alternative options available for food

I have stayed a couple of times and once had to invoke their "Good Night Sleep Guarantee" so the rooms are not so well soundproofed in the older part of the building. There is no Air-con and so it gets very stuffy in the summer. Like any Premier, the rooms are OK and the beds really comfy. The older rooms are getting tired now and the plumbing is a bit cranky. It's in in a good location for getting out into Derbyshire and there is ample FREE parking. But the food in the restaurant is awful. I had fish & chips and I really don't know how they managed to abuse such a simple staple dish? The service is poor and the staff seem more interested in their friends and cronies than in their customers. The Thai restaurant in town is Fab and the nearby MacDonalds is a better option for breakfast. As usual with Premier Inns, the WiFi is NOT Free. You only get 30 mins before they try to charge you.

Room Tip: Ask for the new rooms.

This is a great sized Premier Inn, big enough to have great facilities but small enough to feel you are a 'guest'. The rooms are a good size and looked after to the usual PI high standard. Lots of free parking. What I liked was the connecting corridor to the brewers fayre next door, no need to take a coat for breakfast or for the evening meal. The Inn is close enough to the centre of Chesterfield but far enough to be quiet. Well worth considering if staying in the area.
