“Perfectly good for an overnight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Forgot to ring up in advance and ask for a canal side room or a top floor room (duh) so ended up in room 8 on the ground floor. Actually it was fine. Nice up to date tv, it was really cold so cranked up the heating, breakfast was fine, good porridge... Friendly staff, not much to dislike! ;-)

Was disappointed by a very worn room and wifi that only seemed to work by the room door.

To me the cleanliness was poor and the bathroom smell of sewage was a putoff.

Really need to do better, worst Premier Inn so far although the reception was wecoming

Stayed here on sat the 19th room perfectly clean, staff of which we only saw one was very polite. Down side was the beds booked a twin but because one was a double and the other a very small single wasn't good a twin should be two beds of the same size. Room could of had the heating switched on as it was freezing on arrival so had to wait for it to be warmed up. With all the snow outside you would expect this from their promoted 'WARM' welcome.
A lot of noise from both lots of neighbours very early in the morning which woke us up first lot at 6am then second lot at 6.45 obviously a family with young children.

We stay at this hotel about once a month when visiting relatives. There is always a friendly welcome, rooms are always clean, and the rooms are always nice and warm...once you've turned the heating on. Bedding and bed quality are excellent. Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant is also excellent but evening meals, especially at weekends are to be avoided. It has 'pile it high, sell it cheap' meal deals so the place is always heaving with people and it's a real scrum. We always have a picnic in our room as a result. But the hotel 'does what is says on the tin' and represents good value, especially if you're on a £19/£29 deal.

We've stayed several times at this Premier Inn but this visit was disappointing. Our bedroom was very warm in spite of the installation of a Room Ventilation Fan(since our last visit in the summer). We couldn't work out out how this fan worked. Our bedding was perfectly clean but seemed 'tired'. The floor boards creaked between the bed and bathroom so avoid room 31. Meals were good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Avoid room 31 with its creaky floorboards.

Arrived at premier Inn to be greetd by friendly recepionist, who explained all one needed to know, and directyed me to my room.
Room was nice and clean, as was bathroom, nice powerful shower, Bed was comfortable, choice of pillows, room teperature perfect, individual air con available in room.
Pub attached serves food , meals looked appetising. and potions plentyful.
After an excellent nights sleep, i had breakfast, plenty of choice continental of full english, all fresh. Settled for full english, which was excellent.
Packed up and checked out.
Overall an excellent hotel, with friendly helpful staff. a compliment to the premier inn chain.
