No internet in rooms though promised to fix every day, internet worked in the bar which can be a 5 minute walk from the rooms outside the main building where bar is located
Sent them all specifics on how their dhcp server was not working, sent emails with details and asked politely each day to no avail
Checked in the next week after after arriving on late train from London after 10PM, same story, the Internet booster is working now, same result - it did not work
Sent to my room after 10PM at night, can't find it due to the outside hallways being pitch black so could not see a room #, walk all the way back to lobby and porter carried my bag and commented how a light was out in the portico, next night, still no light, eventually felt the key in
TV got 5 channels, got into TV setup and ran a channel scan that took about 10 minutes then had 102 channels of TV so basically fixed it for them
No washcloths
You have to carry around a a piece of paper to charge to the room,
Forgot the piece of paper, had to go to front desk with bartender to pay for dinner, ran the card, scribbled my signature, they demanded to see my identification, did not like my signature, made me sign it again - they don't have that many rooms and knew who I was, pointed this out but just got continued argument and an offer to send the porter all the way to my room to get my piece of paper so I can charge to the room, beginning to wonder how I can check out and after a cold shower with no hot water the next morning I did and so will my colleagues
Food is good

I would say that for events this is the place to use. Plenty of parking and accomodation. If you want a quiet break then forget it. I would say that in this Hotel the guests must be prepared to work around the Event. We were asked to take our lunch from one area to another because "the Bride was Coming through". The residents lounge is a small but quite dark room and not really comfortable. The best rooms are the ones near to the main gate in that one can park very near to ones accomodation. Like many Hotels the events can go on until the small hours and we have had to endure inebriated people returning from their pleasure whilst we are trying to sleep or even get to sleep. The Christmas Day Lunch was terrible and appeared to us to have been a "Bought in" affair and not freshly cooked. The service was quick but the food not upto standard, IE not worth the £78 charged! and to endure Modern Jazz being played too loudly on the Piano is not our idea of Christmas. The regular staff are quite wonderful but many of the Part timers could do with some proper training, as could many of the guests many of whom think that all Hotels should be like a package tour to Spain. These Events (weddings) seem to attract all sorts and we usually get the ones that don't even know how to eat a meal properly let alone dress for the occasion. If you can afford it get one of the rooms away from the main Hotel. It's a good Hotel but be warned.

My husband and I held our wedding here and the day was perfect! The staff were so helpful and could not do enough for us, always checking in with us and making sure we had what we needed.
The hotel itself is such a beauiful building, really traditional with a modern twist. The main bar has been refurbished with black marbel and looks stunning! The grounds are so beautiful and have won awards, the chairs and patio area are all new and it was great to sit out and have our Jazz band play for our guests whilst drinking pink champagne!!
The food was great and guests commented that it was the best lemon cheesecake they had ever tasted!!
The rooms were amazing. We stayed in the newly refurbished Rennishaw Suite, its very regal and has a huge 4 poster bed. The bathroom is out of this worl and I could have slept in there all night!!
Breakfast was in the Ringwood Suite and is self service. There is hot breakfast for your normal, bacon, eggs etc.. but lots of juices and cold breakfast options too.
My Dad was so amazed by the whole day and night he is still going on about it now!
I would reccomend Ringwood Hall for a wedding but also a special occassion or just a romantic night away. We hope yo be returning every year to stay in our honeymoon suite for our anniversary.
Thanks Ringwood Hall

My daughter was married in the garden pavillion and it was magical, a string quartet played background music, champage was drank in the gardens during the taking of photos.
The staff were marvelous- nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely. The feature rooms are clean and well furnished- no complaints what so ever. Well done Ringwood

If I was getting married (again) then I would seriously consider the Ringwood. However we stayed there with family to celebrate a family birthday.

Fair play to the hotel, we were warned that there would be a wedding party in but as you might expect other guests are not the hotel's priority.

Ringwood tried...but after 10pm the place is dedicated to celebrating wedding guests and blow the rest of the customers. My guess is that the management go off site at that time because on two occasions, later in the evening everything was too much trouble.

Good points: Breakfast and leisure facilites. Negative: Dinner wasn't worth the money.

Wouldn't recommend for the weekend in our situation, I can't comment otherwise.
