My wife and I travel to England at least once a year and a couple of years ago stayed in a hotel just outside of Bath, this year we stayed at the Methuen Arms Hotel in Corsham, Wiltshire (about the same distance as the other hotel we stayed in) and had an excellent time. We dined on Saturday evening in the Court Restaurant and the food was outstanding value for money and the service great. Our room was not large, but you cannot expect large rooms in such an old building, the room was comfortable and considering the town centre location very quiet. Breakfast the following morning was a hearty filling English breakfast with plenty to choose from. We noticed on checkout that the hotel offered an alternative restaurant for Sunday lunch, so we booked for 2:30pm and took a walk around the local area, which has plenty of history. The Sunday lunch was a Carvery style at only $5.95 per person, again great value for money. If we visit this part of England again in the future we will definitely use this hotel again. Thanks for a fantastic end to our trip to England.
