We wanted to spend the weekend celebrating a friends 60th birthday. Our aim was to visit Bath for a days shopping and stay overnight. Hotels in Bath proved very expensive and would not accommodate us for one night only at a weekend. Then we found Widbrook Grange which is located in a perfect setting and only a short journey into Bath. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout. Unfortunately we were unable to dine in the hotel as the restaurant was fully booked. Would definitely visit again.

Having not stayed at this hotel before we were unsure what to expect, other than the good facilities listed on its comprehensive website. On arrival however, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the house itself was very nicely furbished. It was tasteful country-modern in style, with rooms named after what appeared to be English authors, which was a nice touch. The view of the grounds from the room window was lovely, and on discovering the swimming pool we found it well-maintained and with good changing facilities. The food during our stay was delicious (we had the breakfast only), and served in a spacious breakfast room. Overall, a lovely weekend.

Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Location was very good for visiting National Trust, English Heritage and gardens.

six of us stayed for 1 night b/d/b with a pass for longleat park included in the price. Beautiful area and lovely hotel, rooms are very pretty, food was scrummy :-) very friendly helpful staff, and loved the cheeky chickens just wandering about...:-) we will definatley return.
