We were there as a group fpr pre-theatre dinner on Saturdsy night. The location is excellent, virtually seafront with ample parking close by.
We all ate off their pre-7.30 menu, they also have a very extensive a la carte, and the food was super. Service was efficient without being in any way rushed or intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
They have an attached bar (with a lovely open fire) and serve excellent Guiness.! There is also a decent wine list , again vey modestly priced.
This place is geared to "bums on seats"as opposed to fine dining, and they do it very well!
Try it if you're in the area, but a word of warning. Book a table to avoid disappointment.
We were leaving relatively early to go on to a nearby theatre, and it was flat-out at 7.30 pm, with a queue at the door and people who had'nt booked being turned away.
We shall return, sooner rather than later.
