Don't wear your nice shoes and bring your camera for a very enjoyable hike along the River Roe. We went on a family walk in early November 2012 and enjoyed some beautiful scenery. Park up for free and follow the well laid out path's that will take you into nature with some historic ruins thrown in to boot. You'll see rapids, a small abandoned castle, an old mill, neat little river crossings and beautiful foilage. If your lucky you may see some wee wild animals running around. Our route took us about 2.5 miles. Lot's of fun for the family. I wouldn't recommend it for older people or those with heart trouble as their are some steep inclines. We met some locals walking their dogs who were very friendly and we all had a good chat about the area. There is a coffee/snack shop at the end where you can have a treat and a nice coffee to end your walk. If you are in Northern Ireland, take this hike.
