“Excellent food, excellent service!”

Our first time eating at Stonebridge brasserie and it was a great expereience. The staff gave full attention to the customers at all times and were very helpful. We had the early bird menu which was amazing value for money and the food was great, can't wait to be back!

“Our families favourite place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Visit Stonebridge Brasserie often, we love the food, menu choices and friendly staff. Their lunchtime and Sunday Carvery is particularly our favourite! All delicious, fresh, good food served promptly. Can't fault their service, always a warm, friendly welcome and enough attention to make the whole dining experience first class. Our family will continue to visit regularly!

“Confused but delighted”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Assumed I was booking the old Stonebridge and very confused when I turned up there. Am not in the area often. Quick call resolved the problem. Staff excellent, early evening menu brilliant value. Homemade apple sponge soooooo good we had to order a second portion (cos he ate most of my first one!) Will definitely be back next time in the area. Be sure to book

“Not worth the bad customer service!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I went to Stonebridge Brasserie with my family & a family friend who was visiting from Spain on Sunday night. We had ranted about the food saying how great it was but our experience was well below board!

Although there was only our table & 3 more in the place, once we arrived we waited for a good 20mins before anybody even asked us if we wanted a drink! Again another 10 minute wait to order food.

Our waiter (with longish dark hair) was very helpful when we wanted to substitute champ for chips etc. but once the main courses arrived there was no sign of mine and the female waiter did not even recognise that I did not have a meal - we had to ask her where it was. By the time my meal came, the rest of my family had finished theirs and to add insult to injury the waiter almost threw my plate on the table without as much as an apology!

We had to call them over to get the bill while two waiters sat at the bar talking. The staff need some serious training in customer service as I will not be taking guests any time soon!!

“Well done chef, shame about the service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

First visit to the Stonebridge Brasserie & wondered how it would compare to the Stonebridge Restaurant, which we miss. The menu is comparable and the food was all lovely: very well cooked (except for some strangely watery chocolate sauce on the profiteroles), good local ingredients & presented beautifully.

However the service went from being fine in the first half of the meal to completely inattentive in the second half, when the restaurant was emptying (at 8pm on a Thursday) and all the waiting staff departed to the far end of the long room to set tables for the next service and seemed oblivious to the hard stares from us & 2 other tables. One table left early and we had to go & find staff to order coffees, although another long wait ensued & I wish we'd left then too.

Not sure what was going on behind the scenes, but you would have had a nice tip if you'd kept on the ball!
