We stayed here 3 nights, and only paid £87 in total. So we got a good deal, and maybe we shouldn't expect the moon on a stick.
However, the housekeeping wasn't good. When we arrived there was a used towel on the hanger in the bathroom - it was scrumpled and wet. I left it in the bath the next morning, thinking that this was the universal symbol for 'please change my towel' - but when we got back in the afternoon it had simply been moved to the rack above the bath.
On day 2 the soap dispenser next to the bath ran out of soap. It was never re-filled.
The cups and glasses were never washed - I'm not sure if this is standard practice for rooms where guests are staying for more than one night.
The carpet was never hoovered and the bathroom floor was never cleaned. Nor was the khazi. Again - I'm not sure if this is standard practice for multi night stays.
Okay, let's face it: we got a good deal. The hotel was alright.
But - the good thing about Premier Inns is the fact that they normally get the basics right. But in this once, things weren't quite perfect.
And a more serious problem - the bedside light was loose and pulled away from the wall (it's on the right hand side of the bed in room 39).
We still enjoyed our stay. But the housekeeping lapses meant it was more like a Travelodge than a Premier Inn.
