This is a very low standard hotel. It's very faulty towers with hundreds of ornaments and tacky knick knacks everywhere. The receptionist was friendly enough and was apologetic that we didn't have a sea view room as requested. Our bedroom had one double bed (held up in the middle by a paint tin!) and a set of bunk beds. Each of the 3 beds had gaudy mismatched bedding, all obviously bought on the cheap. The bathroom was a split level with a jacuzzi bath,
which was nice but obviously everything was broken. The bath didn't operate and again there wad a strange mix of cheap towels, all different colours and styles. Far from our requested sea view, all we could see was a mouldy, wooden fire escape covered in bird droppings. Needless to say, the curtains had to remain closed. The breakfast was as expected by now, below standard. All obviously cooked hours before, so the beans were dehydrated and the one sausage and one slice of bacon dry.
To complete our Faulty Towers experience, we went upstairs after nibbling at toast over breakfast to take a snooze, having slept very badly on the makeshift bed the night before. At quarter past ten, 45 minutes before we had to check out there was banging on the door and someone shouted "what time are you leaving?" By this time we were just in hysterics. There was no point in complaining, as what we weren't happy with was EVERYTHING. Basically it screams cheap and
nasty but as the title says, it shuts for good in September and that is the best thing I can say!
