“Great food, great staff, great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Restaurant absolutely buzzing with atmosphere, staff were very helpful and friendly - even helped us book a taxi home when usual taxi service couldn't oblige! Food was excellent - menu not the biggest I've seen but preferable to just variations on a theme. Staff very helpful as regards choices and made sure everything was satisfactory. If possible book a window table or one with sea view - well worth it, especially on a clear day/night. No wonder they're always busy - great place to eat! Special thanks to Alaric!

“Raw Chicken!”

Awful customer service, food was served raw and they still made us pay for it... Snobby staff and not pleasant environment...

“Service a joke...used to be a regular, won't be back.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Used to be a regular visitor with my family here whenever in the area. Service and food was always good. But going by our last visit yesterday (8th July 13) we will never be back. It was a disgrace and shambolic at best! We had rang earlier in the day to book a table, were informed no more bookings were being taken and to come down and be prepared just to wait. Fair enough, none of us had an issue with this. We arrived 7pm, were met by an elderly lady who in all our opinions is incapable of doing the front of house (and no, i'm not being ageist). She took our name told us to sit and wait. And wait we did...... At least 4 other families/couples came in after us, none of whom had a reservation, and were all seated before us with tables overlooking the lovely beach at the back of the restaurant! I approached her about this and she stared at me blankly! She then "summoned" us to a table a waiter had basically thrown together opposite the bar near no one else in the waiting area after us sitting for 35 minutes! OK we said, let it go and just order. Easier said than done.... Another 15 minutes passed and no one came to take order! Managed eventually to get a servers attention, ordered food and drinks. Sat and sat and sat....think you get the general idea! After being in this place for 1 hour and 10 mins without so much as a drink of water we thought enough is enough and left. Found a lovely wee spot just up the main street where service and food were great, so that'll be our regular from now on! GIVE THIS "USED TO BE GOOD" PLACE A BIG MISS!

“Try It You Will Like It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We had the best time at a lunch and then a dinner the next day. Alaric was our server and he was just GREAT!!!!! Food was good, service was good, we were happy! Alaric recommended we come back for the twilight special the next day (3-courses for the price of the entree), which is why we went back for dinner. They were totally slammed and we did not think there was anyway they could honor our reservation. BUT, sure enough, they got us seated with a minimal wait. 3 couples on golfing/touring trip through Ireland. We definitely would eat here again!
