“Comfortable and Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We stayed for only one night and it wasn't enough. We arrived late on Sunday night and woke up early to head to Giant's Causeway in the morning. Smugglers Inn is very close to the causeway, it would be no problem to walk there on a nice day. We had a very nice dinner and breakfast, a great value on both! Just down the road from Bushmills, I wish we had left enough time to take the tour but we spent a good amount of time at the Causeway instead. I guess we will have to come back and will definately choose Smugglers Inn again. Thanks for the great visit! Staff was lovely!!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon [paid for by his mum!] on Saturday 10th November through to Tuesday the 13th November. We arrived REALLY late on the Saturday night [well technically it was the early hours of Sunday morning] and the staff were already aware we would be late and had everything sitting ready for us. The gentleman behind the desk was so helpful and as we hadn't eaten for a while and there was nowhere open he very kindly rustled up a few toasted pancakes and a couple of HUGE brownies for us - you can't get better than that at 1:30am!!!
Everyday we saw the staff they were all very polite and couldn't have done more to assist in anything we asked of them. We had a meal in the hotel on the Sunday night [again which my husbands mum had booked for us!] and I had the most delicious 12oz sirloin, which was cooked to perfection. The sweet potato and bacon soup was divine also!! The waiter was lovely and extremely helpful too.
We took breakfast on our final morning in the hotel and it was also lovely.
The room was extremely clean and lovely, we had a huge corner bath in the bathroom which made for a relaxing evening and the views were lovely. The bed was comfortable and there was an extra blanket and pillows in the wardrobe which meant we didn't have to ask anyone for them. There was tea and coffee on hand as well as a couple of biscuits!
It was also in a great location, only a minute [drive] from Bushmills and Giants Causeway and not far from great shopping in Colraine as well as lovely food in Portrush!
I really couldn't have asked more from the hotel and would definitely stay again, maybe on our 1yr anniversary!!!
Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special!!

My husband's mum also commented a number of times about how helpful and kind the staff had been when she phoned to book and pay!

Room Tip: We had the Dunluce room and it was spacious and had a lovely corner bath. It was also a corner room...

The Smugglers Inn is well worth a visit. It is a 5 minute trip from the Giants Causeway & Bushmills town and distillery. There is a great feel to the Inn, and the staff have a great athmosphere. The food was great, and the rooms were very comfortable. I was in a back room, and there was no noise what so ever from the service area what so ever.

Well done guys

On the 19th of October 2012 My Wife Elizabeth and I arived at the Sbugglers Inn Bushmills for a three night stay,we where greated by the staff and made to feel like one of the family because that is just what it is like .The staff and management have always time to stop and talk to you,The room are large, bright and very clean, the bath room is much the same very clean. There is a very good menu with plenty to choose from, the same goes for the breakfast with a choice of cereal of a good cooked breakfast,Smugglers Inn is set over looking the lovely Giant's Causeway, and is just a short distence from Portrush and Portstewart.I would strongly recomend that you give it a try, this has been our second time we have stayed there and if all goes well in 2013 we will be back,Why dont you give Smugglers Inn a go it is great value for money,

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the sea,

spent a saturdat night here during october, ill keep this simple its 3 star if you went to spain and stayed at a 3 star hotel what would you expect ? exactly you get what you pay for or in this case mabe a little over priced . food is average ,fine dinning it is not ,you wont starve a little ignorant with the portions ,rooms cleanish beds old and need replaced very uncomfortable and small ,most beds in hotels have at least king size.views great , staff very friendly and helpful, bar very small and if your spending a night in the bar very uncomfortable seating is hard chairs.front of hotel has a tv room lol these went out in the 70s looked like old peoples room .breakfast was bland, prob great place for a stop over thats it ,which is a pity as this has potential to be something special. a few pounds on decor and comfort would help a lot.

Room Tip: front for views

We stayed for one night as it was close to the Giant's Causeway. It is a lovely place very friendly, extremely clean and warm. The food is superb with large portions of everything and the service is excellent. Breakfast was included and the choice very good. They have a really cosy bar for eating in as well as a restaurant. We would stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: In a very quiet area so it seems all rooms would be ok
