Owner description: The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

A really lovely drive north from Belfast up to the giant's causeway. plenty of places to stop on the way and make sure you do so because the viewpoints give the driver a chance to soak in the beauty of the area.

“You have to drive this Route!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

You can't miss this drive!!! There are lot's of places to stop and pull over and just relish in the beauty of the landscape. Drive along the cliffs of Northern Ireland but make sure you watch out for the sheep that are free roaming! This is one of the most beautiful roads you will ever be on in your life.

“Spectacular...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Weather permitting this has to be one of the most scenic drives anywhere. However, don't just drive along the main route, but take a detour now and then down one of the many small roads to Portbraddan, Whitepark, Ballintoy, Carrick-a-rede just to name a few. Well worth it...
