Went with my hubby who loves whiskey and my 2 kids. Really enjoyable from start to finish. Kids interested enough too so didnt get bored. Lovely setting and atmosphere. Lovely staff. Great wee bar at the end of tour. Gift shop full of stuff. Great afternoon spent here. Really recommended.

“Great tour - very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

I was very impressed by my tour of Old Bushmills Distillery. It was very interesting to learn how whisky is produced, from the start right through to the barrelling to the bottling. The tour is not overly long, and so holds everyone's attention. Not suitable for those with breathing issues as the smell is quite overpowering at times and it can get quite hot. There are also a lot of steps involved, so it's not suitable for those with dodgy knees! We enjoyed the whisky tasting at the end. There's also a lovely little gift shop and a restaurant on site, so all needs are well catered for! A very pleasant way to spend a few hours if you're visiting Antrim - it's also very close to the Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-A-Rede Rope bridge which makes touring that much easier.

“Well worth it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

As a now tea totaller, I didn't think I would enjoy this tour, but it was brilliant. We both thought it was excellent, and very well organised from start to end.
They really know how to run this tour from their years of experience doing it.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

Living in Northern Ireland I never thought of going to a local distillery, assuming wrongly it would be full of tourists and naff. Oops, it was neither, we were in Portrush and went on impulse on a Tuesday lunch time. Tour was 40 minutes and I am tee total but I throughly enjoyed the whole experience, the tour guide was first class with great knowledge and the smells around the site were fantastic, highly recommend this to anyone whether from Northern Ireland or further afield!

“Make sure you visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We visited on a Tuesday in August and it was very busy but the tour was still very well organised and informative. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the distillery and its processes. The tasting session at the end is not to be missed, if you go as a group make sure you try some of the different types. We enjoyed the one with honey best. Be aware there are quite a lot of stairs so not one for you if you have problems with walking.
