“5 star B&B!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

A little out of the way - need to take a cab from Bushmill for 7 pounds, and a cab to the Giant's causeway as well for another 7 pounds - but excellent place to stay in. Luxurious as far as B&Bs go - it's more like being in a 5 star hotel room. The room decor is super, and the skylight that opens up just above the desk is a treat. The whole house is elegant and beautiful. The breakfast was great except that our hosts seemed to be in a big rush to chase everyone off as fast as possible!

Stayed here only for a night, but wished it could be more. Tucked away in a quiet corner, had some trouble finding it. But once we checked-in, everything just blew us away. The 2 host were warm and welcoming, yet carried with them a sense of hotelier professionalism not found in most other B&B. (I'm not even sure if I should call this place a B&B, it feels more like a 4/5 star hotel shrunk into a B&B building) The decor was well done, bed was comfortable. Bathroom looked even better than 3/4 star hotel with bathtub and even rain shower! The windows from the room gave excellent view of the surroundings. Breakfast was nicely done with nicely thought out menu. Thought it cost a little more than other B&Bs, this accommodation is highly recommended and is worth every cent. I dare say its more comfortable than the nearby hotels. It is by no accident that they won the 2012 Northern Ireland Tourism award, and others as well -- they fully deserve it.

Room Tip: Go for the causeway suite.

We picked this as a 5 star bit of luxury along our travels in Northern Ireland. They certainly deserve each of those stars. The rooms are a good size, quality fixtures and fittings, a nice comfy bed!

And and Lyal were very welcoming, made suggestions for outings and arranged our evening meal bookings for us. Breakfasts were fantastic, great Irish breakfasts as well a lighter selection.

This is a great B&B stay in country Ireland. We had a quiet, roomy and comfortable room. The full irish breakafst was great, but you could have just about anything you wanted (friut, cereal, toast, eggs, fresh bread etc).

We stayed here with our 2 children. I have to say that this is the most outstanding place I've ever stayed. Everything was impeccable. Now what can I say about the breakfast. It is hard to cater for 2 ( fussy) children and vegetarians BUT not if you are staying in the Causeway lodge Ann had it all covered. We ate like kings. No matter what you desired was there. You name it, it was there and not only that all the food was divine. Lastly you will never meet host' s like Ann and Lyle...amazing , kind hearted people. Well done and we will be back.

My wife and I were greeted immediately as we arrived by the very warm and helpful Ann. We were shown to our absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean room and advised on where to eat that evening. The room was very comfortable to sleep in and the bed felt just like home. By far, this room has been the most beautiful and comfortable that we've stayed in ever. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous room, as well. Everything was delicious and substantial. A very wonderful stay.
