“Great position!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Have stayed in a number of Premier Inn's up and down the UK and found this one to be of the expected good quality of which the Premier Inn brand offer, it is also not one of the more expensive hotels within the brand. Spacious room, decent working shower, clean and comfortable. Booked two rooms for our family of five and found this to be a nice quite hotel even all though it was in, what turned out to be, a busy little coastal town! The main road through Carrickfergus seems to be very busy, particularly at night with "cruisers", though this did not affect our stay, though this could have been due to our room position (upstairs, overlooking hotel car park). Hotel is in a great position, near to the castle and shops, though Carrickfergus itself is a good area to stay and in good commutable distance if wishing to visit Belfast or if wishing to travel up to see the sights along the coastal road. We would stay in this Premier Inn again if we were in NI in future which is quite likely!

I have stayed in many Premier Inns and booked into the C/Fergus Premier Inn for 1 night in December. You know what you get with a Premier Inn - so spacious room, clean, comfortable - and great location - why not 5 stars ? - well - I know you are paying for a Motel but this Premier Inn felt oddly a bit bland/lifeless .... maybe just that night, not sure. Probably will give another go in the future.

Went here with my wife, daughter and 4 year old grandson, the food is excellent and there is a soft play area for the kids so the adults can enjoy their meal in peace. Fill your cup with Coffee or tea as many times as you like and the coffee is great !

This hotel is great. Cinema, Sainsburys and restaurants very close, not to mention nice walks along the prom. Slept well despite being the first room after a swing door. We had a disappointing breakfast in the attached restaurant (reheated sausages are never good).

This hotel is located in a picturesque area of Carrickfergus. there is attached to the hotel the obligatory eatery where the food was of a good standard. What made this hotel was the staff who were all very helpful and went the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. There are several restaurants around the hotel as well as a Sainsbury's located behind the hotel and a Tesco Extra 5 min's walk away. The amazing Titanic exhibition is located about half an hour away as is the fabulous city of Belfast. This hotel is a great base from which you can explore Northern Ireland and its wonderful attractions.
