“You won't find a better hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

I have high standards, in fact, it's a fault in my nature - i'm a perfectionist. When I can't find fault somewhere, none exists! The hotel is spotless with very professional and friendly staff. The location is quiet despite being very near major retail/cinema/pubs/town center/marina/harbour all a few hundred meters away at most. Its a nice place for an evening stroll as well. Its ideal to stay here as a tourist as well as on business as its located ideally for Belfast attractions as well as the famous North Antrim coast and glens (Cornwall 40 years ago!). In fact roads are so good and uncrowded that 1 hour will virtually get you anywhere in Northern Ireland from this central location. The bed was firm, my wife liked it, I did not. They refunded our money. I felt guilty taking it!

Room Tip: I actually don't think it matters which room you stay in.

Stayed again for the weekend with my 3 sisters. Staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. From Jacqueline in Housekeeping to Pauline and her staff in Resturant we were treated like Queens! Reception staff also very pleasent and helpful. Rooms were spotless and food very tasty.
We look forward to staying here on a regular basis--normally every 3 months.
It is a great place to recharge your batteries.
Scenery around hotel is lovely and we would have loved to stay for longer.
We would be more than happy to score Premier Inn Carrick 10 out of 10!!

Another reason why i always use Premier Inns. This hotel has all the attributes of Premier Inns. On arrival we were met by Suzanne, friendly, helpful and welcomming. Checking in was hassle free. Our room was clean, well presented, bed very comfortable and en-suite clean and nice fresh smell. I have used 4 different Premier Inn this year and i find them all the same high standard for a budget hotel, i never really look anywhere else. The restaurant is a Brewers Fayre. Again the staff were friendly and helpfiul. My only gripes would be the computer ordering which is slow and unreliable and the breakfast sausages were poor quality. The hotel is situated on the seafront but the view from the front is spoiled by an old yacht yard, but, all-in-all another satisfactory stay with Premier Inn.

stayed here with my wife 1st - 3rd december. This was our 1st visit to a premier inn, very impressed with this hotel chain, no fuss, very friendly staff, reception, housekeeping &bar staff were all approacable & professional.
we were allocated room on 2nd floor, room no. 46. room was spacious, clean & functional.
We did , however , encounter a problem or two with the heating system. we put the heating up to full on arrival (very cold outside that day ), but it took a long time before the room got warm, we did inform someone from housekeeping, & were told that it would work eventually, which it did, but the room still wasn't as warm as it probably should have been.
The other problem was the 'tapping noise' coming from the heater under the window. between the hours of 11pm & 2am approx, this tapping noise kept us awake during these hours, however, we did not report it the 1st morning after as we thougt it may be ok the next evening but alas. it wasn't !.
upon checkout, we did inform the receptionist, who, credit to her, was very apologetic & said she'd inform maintenance immediately. this problem apart, we thorougly enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is in the lovely town of carrickfergus, adjacent to the harbour &the lovely carrickfergus castle.
the hotel is a 40 min train journey into belfast city centre, our 1st visit to this city, which we really enjoyed, belafast & the surrounding area ( & carrickfergus ) are very nice, will definitely returnto belfast & would have no hesitation staying at the premier inn carrickfergus hotel , well done everyone at the hotel !

We have visited this hotel in the past and again we made good use of this hotel to allow us to leave the car at the hotel and take the train into Belfast to enjoy the shopping without the high car parking charges and also to enjoy the Continental Market at City Hall and enjoy a drink at the large Continental Bar there. Going to Belfast without the car is enjoyable and made our day.
The hotel is older than the Premier Inn in Lisburn but its staff work to keep it clean and homely for the residents staying there. The staff are helpful and efficient.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor overlooking Belfast Lough , the views from the window are beautifu...

This Hotel and Harbour Bar have to be one of the best we have stayed in. Although the room allocated to us when we arrived at 2.15pm wasn't ready the receptionist and housekeeper very kindly did some rescheduling and put is another room.. This was a very comfortable room overlooking the harbour and the views were wonderful
The atmosphere in the Harbour Bar and restaurant was excellent and the staff were very friendly, efficient and the food, although "pub grub" was well presented.

This hotel is only 10 minutes drive from Belfast and convnient for the port and airport. It is ideally situated for visitng the Giants Causeway and Portrush.

Room Tip: All the rooms with odd numbers have views over the harbour and although over reception the double gl...

Very nice tidy clean room and bathroom, very friendly local staff and keen to help and chat, centrally located and only a short walk from the centre of town about 4 minute walk. i will stay there again and i would recommend anyone to stay there.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the marina.
