“Fantastic stay and excellent restuarant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

I recently spent a marvellous saturday and Sunday at the Tullylagan and was charmd by its calm ambience and warm cosy atmosphere. The rooms were beautifully appointed, extermely comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The warmth of the lounge was matched by that of the welcome and the staff are genuinely freindly, helpful and contribute to making yor stay memrable. The lounge is just too comfortable and hard to leave especialy the seats close to the stove.. We walked the ery short distance to Harrys Bar for a few late afternoon drinks and again foundthis a real gem. Warm, cosy an again hard to leave. The Kitchen Restaurant delivered an fantastic meal from a wide and varied menu with innovative dishes on all courses accompanied by a well priced wine list. Breakfast was also memorable. All in all a great ace. Lovely walks in the vast gardens and great comfort inside -a super place for a real unwind.

Room Tip: The two suites are really worth booking - beautiful rooms

Dear meiskha

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your weekend at Tullylagan.

The warmth of the lounge with the big fire is indeed one of our greatest features, as is the opportunity to stroll the grounds and relax. Furthermore, we are very pleased that you had the opportunity to try both of our award-winning restaurants and that we met every element of your customer expectations. I have communicated your review to both the Chef and Front of House Team who really love to hear such appreciation for their drive and passion for quality food and service.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Tullylagan.

Kind Regards

A little gem of a hotel. Not far from Cookstown but in very idyllic country surroundings. The hotel is very comfortable and well furnished with open fires and a very good restaurant and bar. The food is marvelous and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Cant be faulted as a hotel. It is not modern but those who like comfort and style and home comforts will relish its appeal

The hotel has parking and its own grounds with a river running thro at the edge of the gardens. There is also a museum dedicated to tractors and motor cycles which is of great interest.

Great hotel to sit beside the fire with an Irish coffee and the papers and chill.

Room Tip: they are all good

Well what a treat we had at the tullylagan. After booking a party night here we were disappointed when we where told it was going to be cancelled but what a night the Tullylagan put on. As a party of 25 people we all sampled different parts of the menu and everyone commented on how good it was. I had the melon and sorbet starter, lovely and refreshing start to the meal. Then the traditional turkey and ham with all the trimmings and we were offered second helpings on everything!!! Was that full from the meal that I had to refuse but the gesture was nice and a welcome change from other venues we have gone to before. The dessert a trio of desserts which was just lovely. They catered so well for the gluten and wheat intolerant people in our party as well. The table and room was Lovely and homely and had been decorated beautifully. The hotel also put complementary wine on the table because the party night had been cancelled which was lovely. After our excellent meal we sat downstairs in Harry's bar the music wasn't to our taste but as a group of women we gabbled the night away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and Andrew you were a true gent throughout. Many thanks for all your help and we really enjoyed our night. Will definitely return for a group function again in the future.

Dear Madam,

Thank You for taking the time to write this review.

I am delighted you enjoyed your Christmas Party at Tullylagan Country House Hotel. It was unfortunate the original Party Night did not go ahead as planned, however it is wonderful that you feel we were able to compensate for this situation.

It would be lovely to welcome you back to Tullylagan for any future visits.

Kind regards

Stayed here overnight on friday December 14th. We were there for the Murder mystery night, it was a great night that was had by all, as the cast and audience connected straight away, to give a great atmosphere!
Retired to our room in the "wee small hours" and had a great night's sleep! Breakfast in the morning was a delight with great service and a welcoming smile! We had the full breakfast and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious! We then had a walk around the gardens and grounds and watched the river "in full flow"! As we walked back into the reception area, we were greeted by the smelll of "the open fire" it was just fantastic to see the flames from the burning logs! We decided to have a pot of tea and curled up on the sofa to read the daily newspapers! It was so cosy there, After an hour of chatting to the friendly staff we checked out at the Reception desk, to yet another friendly smile and charm! All in all, a great stay! We shall definitely return to this hotel!! JJ Malliagh (Tyrone, Ireland)

Room Tip: Room 8 was just perfect, with a nice view from the bathroom overlooking the front Courtyard!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write this review.

I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your recent stay at Tullylagan Country House Hotel.

The Murder Mystery Evenings have proved to be very popular, and a great nights 'Craic'! It is a perfect setting at Tullylagan to host an event like this. The open log fire is very popular with all of our guests and customers, it is certainly very hard to get moving again once you get comfortable in front of it!

Once again Thank you for your lovely comments, and we hope to see you back at Tullylagan in the not too distant future.

Kind regards

I recently ate here at Harrys Bar and Bistro and really have to commend the staff on their efforts. The waitresses were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. My friend's steak was perfectly cooked and there was plenty of side portions which weren't ordered with it. I had the chicken goujons which were lovely and tasty, again plenty of extras with it. It's not overly expensive, especially if you choose from their specials menu which has plenty on it for those who like good choice. I can also recommend their desserts. Home made and lashings of it!

Last Saturday night I booked dinner for eight to celebrate my daughter's engagement. On my way to our table I was chatting to the Manager and during the course of conversation I made him aware of the excitement of this celebration. He enquired which of the ladies had got engaged and carried on with his work. I do have to say the staff were very friendly and the meal was really nice but not cheap. Whilst I don't wish to be pedantic I think the least he could have done was to offer the young couple a glass of sprkling wine, to say the least, bearing in mind a wedding reception could be pending. In any 'run of the mill' restaurant a child would be given a sparkler on its birthday. Very disappointed Tullylagan...

We stayed in the Tullylagan for one night and found the place to be very charming and cosy with the reception warmed by a nice turf fire. The room was a little bit dated and had cobwebs on the lights and some of the wallpaper was peeling of in the corner of the room etc, plus the en-suit didn't have an extractor fan so it ended up like a steam room. The breakfast was really good and the staff were very friendly + the breakfast room was comfortable and up to a nice standard of decoration.
