We've been going to Caban Y Dderwen for quite a few years now, probably averaging 5 or 6 visits a year, and can honestly say we've yet to have a sub-standard meal. Full breakfasts, week-day and Sunday lunches, light snacks eg toasties etc--you name it!
Our "go to" favourites remain the chicken curry ( half rice half chips) and the Poached Salmon with Creamy sauce. A mug of milky coffee for me and cafetiere of filter coffee for my wife. Usually no room for dessert ( the older you get, the smaller the appetite!)
We love the atmosphere, the buzz of friendly conversation and bearing in mind everything is freshly prepared, don't mind waiting when it's particularly busy. The proof of the pudding is in the eating--just ask customers waiting patiently "in line" from time to time. Lovely staff who always work the tables very well without being pushy or "gushing". Top place.
