“Wonders will never cease - my carnivore husband loves the Waverley!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

When in Carmarthen my husband is quite happy to join me at The Waverley for lunch. He loves the casseroles and pies (all veggie of course) and the salad bowls are great as well. I never thought such tasty food could be made without meat. I am not a vegetarian but have been converted very quickly. It's absolutely brilliant. Very sustaining and filling and a very reasonable priced meal. The atmosphere is also good and you don't feel rushed to leave even when it's busy and it does get busy at lunch time though so get there on time... Thanks for widening my taste buds Waverley.

“Excellent value and very healthy.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We have been eating lunch here for 15 years. There are always lots of salads to choose from and their homity pie is to die for.
A generous portion of homemade cake and a cup of filter coffee or tea will cost just £1,75.

“The Family Loved This”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We visited quite by accident back in October. We were delighted to find this veggie restaaurant. the whole family tucked into excellent home cooked food at a very reasonable price. My husband had so many different salads - his plate was piled high! Then we were able to buy a few veggie ingredients in the shop on the way out. A very satisfying experience!

“Delicious vegetarian food to satisfy the most hardened of carnivores...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Tucked away at the rear of this health food shop, Waverley Vegetarian Restaurant is worth seeking out. Indeed, if you're in Carmarthen's shopping epicentre (with M&S, or Debenhams over your shoulder), you'll need to walk for some five minutes towards Lammas Street (ask a local if in doubt).

As others here have suggested, get there early. The food is fresh, flavoursome and wholesome. Portions are generous. Do try their salads - you'll be doing your body a huge favour!

Cakes and sweet things abound too, if you're not going for the meal option. It gets busy, but the patient will be rewarded!
