We found this restaurant by chance as we drive past with 4 hungry children, it looked like fun so we tried it.
We were also tempted by happy hour and the specials 5-7pm.
The staff invited us in although we arrived before they had technically opened, but 20 minutes passed quickly reading and menus looking for parrots.
The good on the early bird was great value as were the children's meals, especially the New York chicken which was a very good size portion for am older child and something different to the usual kids fare.
The food was standard American fare, good value on the offers, my mashed potato was cold, not really acceptable as it was quiet. I didn't complain as I didn't have time to wait for fresh but it didn't spoil the meal.
My only negative would be that we allowed the kids to choose non alcoholic cocktails as a treat, at £4.95 each these would never have been an option but at £3.00 were good fun. When we got the bill it seems that some of the drinks chosen weren't on happy hour and were indeed £4.95..... £20 for 4 kids drinks!! It would have been helpful when we ordered if the staff had pointed out which was on happy hour and which weren't. We misread the menu so our fault but I have worked in hospitality for years and a gentle reminder what's on offer and what's not is always appreciated by the customer!
Would return again I can imagine on a Friday or Saturday night this place has a fantastic atmosphere and would be somewhere for a great family celebration it has something for everyone
