“The Rendezvous Hotel does it again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

I've recently returned from my 3rd stay at the Rendezvous and it just gets better. The rooms for my group were all rated good, the food was excellent as was the service. Malcolm Weaving eats in the restaurant himself and visits each table for a short chat. The location is perfect and we were lucky this time to see all the preparations for the Grand Depart of the Tour De France - an added bonus. I've no doubt my group will be asking me to book the Rendezvous again at some time. Keep up the good work, Malcolm.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night to watch the Tour De France,
It was a good base to watch situated on the Leeds Liverpool canal 20 minute walk into Skipton.
Nice dinning conservatory overlooking the canal ,Food was very good great breakfast and we dinned both evenings.
The car parking was a little strange giving us a ticket for our windscreen to vacate by 11am on day of departure when they knew most people who had come to watch the tour would want to leave their cars till late afternoon . otherwise ok.

Room Tip: At the back over the canal we were at the front road noise

I stayed here with a group of cyclists who were riding the first two days of the Tour de France routes, organised by the hotel. We ate together in the conservatory looking out over the canal and the fields beyond, which was a beautlful view. The staff were friendly and attentive, though they couldn't always accommodate our needs when it came to herbal teas or decaff. The food was good and plentiful, though, and the breakfast buffet offered a large choice.
Our room was on the ground floor and we could park almost outside so it was easy to move our gear in and out. It was a bit old fashioned, but perfectly comfortable and roomy.

The hotel is a pleasant twenty minutes walk along the towpath into Skipton, or a couple of minutes drive.

Used this Hotel ( Friday Night ) to watch the Tour De France in the town on Saturday. Was not best pleased to be told at reception that I would have to vacate the Car Park by 11am on the morning, no customer care given to our needs over parking was even given an A5 note to put on my windscreen to say my car should not even be there. Marred the day for me had to go and hunt down a safe parking place out of town. Our room was the same as it was around 4 years ago when we first went there maybe the TV has got bigger but the decor and facilities could do with a makeover. Our room 211( Superior it was not ) had a large crack in the basin and instead of it being replaced it was stuck back together very unsightly. Breakfast superb best thing about the place, Spa and pool again not changed at all. After the Car Park episode will not use this Hotel again.

Another visit and again a good experience. The conservatory restaurant on the banks of the canal is very pretty and serves good food at very reasonable prices. Breakfast is the usual fair with self service and hot food - especially good scrambled eggs.
Rooms very big and spotlessly clean. Great action to tour the dales , York and Harrogate.
Well worth a visit

Stayed here for the weekend. The first night in room 419. The room seemed ok, but it was very noisy. There is a room above and there his very poor sound insulation so we were disturbed continually through the night by the room above. The room was uncomfortably hot and opening the one tiny window was not enough. AVOID room 419.
We complained about the room and we moved to 206 for the second night. This was better in that it was quieter and was cooler, but was dated and a bit smelly.
Towels on the first night were dirty.
On the plus side the breakfast was very good.

We stayed on and off for 9 nights and had a retirement function here. Great place to stay good facilities fantastic food great staff free parking free wifi what more could people ask for?
The views over the canal when eating in swan restaurant should win over even the most difficult to please.
Particularly helpful are Chris Rushton and Lindsay Muller who are great addition to the team.
