These gardens and the buildings have gone through a troublesome past, but have now been restored and improved to a setting that is so very beautiful and comforting.
The entrance fee is very modest, but on a first visit I would advise the purchase of a guide book which is only £2.00 and this gives a comprehensive detail of the history of the Hall and the gardens. There is a lovely little tea room with a good selection of food, a plant sale area, and a lot to walk around. There is a lovely view once you have taken the well prepared steps to the Cliff Walk. There are various gardens all very well tended.
We had a very enjoyable day out at this place
