As a walker on the Pennine Way I was looking for a good value, comfortable and welcoming over night stay in Malhamdale. Guide books warn walkers that Malham village can be difficult for accommodation as many places want you to stay for a minimum two nights or else are expensive. After making lots of enquiries I eventually made contact with Lindon Guest House, two miles from Malham, where I had a very enjoyable stay. Ian and Riilna provide relaxed, and welcoming hospitality. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped, ideal for an over night stay. Above all the most memorable aspect of the stay was the food, from the two course evening meal to the hearty breakfast. Ian obviously takes pride in producing traditional food made from local fresh ingredients, which is tasty and superbly cooked. Fresh scones, home made petit fours, and as much tea as you can drink, all added to the experience. Lindon Guest House is highly recommended for a memorable stay in Malhamdale, and especially for those walking the Pennine Way.
