A very serene atmosphere. We ate in the refectory. The food was well prepared and presented. Good value and very pleasant staff.

“Still A "New" Cathedral”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

The diocese of Truro was created in the 1870s, but it took several decades to complete the new Cathedral, and the present building incorporates part of the church which previously stood on the site in the center of the city. It is an interesting building with wonderful stained glass, a good choir (for Evensong and such), and a coffee shop and gift shop tucked away. The much loved Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols began here in 1880 under the leadership of the Cathedral's first bishop.

“Magic Moments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

The thing I like most about the Truro Cathedral is its magic. The moment you enter, you change your perception of things... it's not exactly about the cathedral itself, but about what's in it, an energy that most people can perceive -consciously or unconsciously-. You have to be there to really get it...

“A truly magical place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Extremely beautiful Cathedral. Truro cathedral is only 100 years old, but has that magical feeling of the great medieval temples. Great energy, truly beautiful architecture, wonderful services, very friendly and welcoming staff. Many events throughout the year, especially musical ones. Truro Cathedral is indeed a Centre for Light and Music.

“Atmospheric cathedral”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Reminiscent of a cathedral in Brittany this wonderful cathedral was one of the latest built not having been completed until early last century. It was built to incorporate the older parish church.
