Description: David and Emmeline welcome you to our 17th Century pub situated in Ladock, at the heart of Cornwall. The Falmouth Arms is a welcoming village pub with a warm and traditional bar area and a more contemporary dining area. We serve good home cooked food using local produce wherever possible and offer a range of Cask Marque accredited Cornish real ales. Our menu includes Vegetarian and Gluten Free dishes as well as local meat, game and fish. Ladock is an unspoilt village set between Truro, St Austell and Newquay with easy access to the A30 and 8 miles from Newquay Airport, ideal for exploring the whole of Cornwall. The Ladock road was one of the early routes into West Cornwall and passed through the beautiful wooded Ladock Valley, The Falmouth Arms was one of a series of coaching inns along the way, where horses could be changed. We have a large car park opposite and are a regular meeting place for a range of motoring and classic vehicle groups, local clubs and societies and often a stopping point for Steam and Traction engines.

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The Falmouth Arms is actually a few miles outside of Truro but well worth the journey. It's a small village pub with a good restaurant and friendly efficient service. There a a few good beers and a couple of ciders on tap and well kept.

The menu whilst not huge in range, offers a good selection of meat, fish and a veggie option. We eat at the pub a reasonable amount and have never been disappointed with the food, service, portion size or value for money.

You may need to telephone to reserve a table during busy times, in fact it's a good idea to call anyway.

It's family friendly and there is plenty of parking over the road from the pub... go on give it a go!

“A real country pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

This pub is on the old A30 out of Truro, a lovely drive. Pub is warm and welcoming with a real fire and helpful staff. Good range of beers all kept well. Have eaten a few times always spot on. For friends and family outings its a nice change from the main stream two for one pubs.

“FABULOUS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

We live locally and after a dissapointing meal near Mevagissey, we found the Falmouth arms........the food is always excellent, the prices good, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff is faultless. It is always the same standard - we have had numerous meals there now and also visit for the Sunday lunch......the only downside is that when you have finished you cannot just snuggle up in a big chair and have 40 winks !!!

“A Hidden Jem”

Took my wife for supper there .Blown away by the quality of the food .Both had soup to start ,beautiful warming and filling. The Duck breast with the sauce was divine and my wife struggled to finish the home-made burger.I still had room to have the home-made steamed pudding (gluten Free) and custard which was delicious ,definitely worth a trip back

“Perfect village pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Open fires. Well kept cellar with an interesting guest beer that changes with each barrel. Tribute and Doom Bar are the "house" bitters. The food is freshly cooked, delicious and very competitively priced. Highly recommended.
