I was surprised by my partner to a short get away to this lovely northumberland location. From the moment we arrived we were looked after and given great information about the area. The views from the room were fantastic as was the service at Caraw. Breakfast was perfect, much to choose from with the highlight being the cooked breakfast with all local produce. Perfect location for scenic walks, photography and out door adventures such as mountain biking and hiking. All in all, a perfect break!

It is always nice to read that guests have enjoyed their stay, the facilities, home cooked food and warm hospitality. We hope you enjoyed your bubbly and locally made chocolates whilst enjoying the views. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Regards Kevin and Leah

Booked this guest house based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. We arrived to warm friendly welcome, room, facilities and breakfast were spot on the hosts are very attentive without being over bearing. The location is remote but idyllic no hesitation in recommending this guest house.

This was our second visit to Carraw, having stayed back in 2010. Once again, the overall experience was exceptional. The house and gardens were as we remembered - immaculate, and breakfast was absolutely beautiful. The owners are as accommodating as they are unobtrusive, striking a perfect balance. For those looking for quality accommodation in Hadrian's Wall country, look no further, and if there is a blueprint for how to operate a B&B business, this is surely it.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your second stay at Carraw as part of your recent trip to the observatory at Kielder. It was nice to hear that you managed to experience the dark skies on offer in Northumberland and view the stars. We hope you had a good trip home and look forward to seeing you again, hopefully for a longer stay, in the near future. Regards Kevin and Leah

I stayed here the night before my wedding with all my bridesmaids and had a truly wonderful stay. Not only was it perfectly peaceful for a good night's sleep the night before but we were treated to a fantastic breakfast and even bucksfizz while we were getting ready. Kevin and Leah really went out of their way to make sure my special day started in the best way possible. Thank you for looking after us so well. We all had a great time staying with you.

We have stayed in so many b and bs before but this one is truly exceptional. I have never seen such a clean room and bathroom. The decor was lovely and the whole place has a wonderful feel-homely but luxurious at the same time. The owners are really lovely and professional. They made us feel very welcome and nothing is too much hassle for them. They always ask whether you need anything but never in an intrusive way. We would love to go back and spend a bit longer as we were visiting friends so unfortunately didn't have time to sample their wine on offer etc. the breakfast was the best I have ever had as well, and the menu is very varied and there are lots of lovely things on offer. I don't know why this place isn't five star gold!

Stayed for 2 nights in September. We stayed because we wanted to experience Hadrian's Wall and explore Vindolanda, Housesteads Fort and the Roman Army Museum. We could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay. Easy access to all of those sites. Very lovely property, our room was very, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast had everything you could want from fruit and granola, to eggs and sausages, and a great lounge room with lots of dvd's etc. Wifi was better than most other accomodations we stayed at for our U.K. visit. Yes it is a bit isolated but we liked the peacefulness and it's not far to go to the pub or for a fine dining experience if that's what you want. We did both. This property is licensed if you just want to share a bottle of wine together too. The hosts were great. I would highly recommend this property.

We stayed in the early part of September for 4 nights with some friends. I can honestly say we were treated to a very warm welcome, the breaksfasts were lavish and to die for - thank you Leah. We had a very relaxing time, with Kevin and Leah happy to advise on days out and they did everything they could to ensure we had all that we needed to have a good stay and more! Leahs cakes are fabulous especially the lemon cake. The bedrooms were very well appointed with a wonderful view of open moorland. Highly recommended.
