Three of us visited this week after reading the glowing reviews. Expecting an enjoyable evening catching up with each other over a lovely meal.
On Arrival we were shown to our table and given the menu, being informed that the lunchtime menu was also being served. We decided to order the bangers and mash and 2 lasagne with rocket salad. The wait was not too long and the food arrived.... This is where it all began. The Bangers and Mash arrived along with one lasagne, we were told the 2nd lasagne would be 5 minutes. ( surely you hold all the food until all the meals are done ). My lasagne then arrived after a wait, steaming on top but taking a fork full from the middle was cold. This was then taken back and after a wait of over 10 more minutes, a replacement lasagne was bought, however it could not really be enjoyed as my friends had by this point finished their meals. The lasagne said it came with a Rocket salad but not a rocket leaf was in sight. We were given our first round of drinks on the house, which I cannot complain about.
During the meal a loud alarm sounded twice, which turned out to be a fire/carbon monoxide alarm, I guess this caused some atmosphere as there was no music playing and just seemed to be lacking any atmosphere.
I must admit I hadn't paid attention to the price of the lasagne when ordering, and certainly had a shock when the bill arrived and was £11.50 per lasagne. There was nothing special about the lasagne. The bangers and mash were fine but nothing amazing.
We asked if the coffee was fresh and from a proper machine and informed it was, the Latte and cappuccino were blatantly from a pod/capsule.
The evening was not how we thought it would have been after reading the reviews on here.
The staff were apologetic about the cold lasagne.

Hi there, many thanks for taking the time to write a review for us. I'm very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction because this is a very rare occurance. I will make our staff aware of your comments so that lessons can be learned. I'm sure you will appreciate that when serving the volumes of food that we do, mishaps are going to occur and all our staff try and keep these to a minimum. Unfortunately for you, you have been the one person amongst thousands of happy customers that has left unsatisfied, but I'm very confident it wouldn't happen to you again should you decide to return, which we hope you do.
