“Great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

We were a party of eight visiting this restaurant on Saturday October 12th. The food was amazing. Great service, generous portions without over loading the plate.
I had the calamari starter, mmmmmmm, can recommend this. Very tender and the batter was to die for with a hint of cumin. There was one draw back and that was it came with a sweet chilly sauce, but this was poured all over the salad which spoilt things as is came across as quite spicy. I would have preferred the sauce in a pot to dip into. Don't let this put you off, give it a go. All of use came away wanting to go back again at some point.
Cannot say if the view was scenic as it was dark when we arrived!!

“Hidden treasure ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Stumbled across this delightful pub after a long day walking in the Gower. The steak and ale pie was divine and the rib eye steak has got to be the best I've had in a very long time. The price of the food was reasonable and the wine was not over priced. Excellent meal, we would definitely dine here again when we return to this beautiful part of the country.

“Wonderful Sunday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

I love this pub and decided to take family out for a Sunday lunch. Quite simply it was amazing. From the service to the actual food it could not be faulted.
There was the delightful surprise of an "amuse bouche" before starters arrived, brilliant!

Don't delay book today!

“Bar is hit and miss compared to restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Tried the ribs in the bar this time, expecting baby back style, but ended up with 3 huge ribs with very little meat. BBQ sauce was nice though. Dessert of Tia Maria creme brulee saved the day, a really nice sweet. Previously, I had locally caught mullet (or hake in fact, as they had no mullet) on crushed potato with a saffron curry cream sauce and mussels. Can't compliment that highly enough. To think that they can serve food of that quality in the bar and then serve such disappointing ribs is surprising, but credit where it's due, it's right much more often than not. And the restaurant itself has never failed to impress me. Will book in there next time for a treat.

A quick note about the newish local ale, Gower Gold. A quality pint! Very pleased they stock it here.
