I stayed at this hotel with my mum, and my 2 boys, we have family in the area, and usually stay on the holiday camps, but as they were all closed until march, we decided to use this hotel for a few days, I wish we hadn't!
On arrival, we had to wait for the girl on reception to finish serving at the bar before we could check in, we paid on arrival, no problem, until we got into the room, and realised we had a tiny little room, with double bed, sofa bed, and a very tiny pathetic fold out bed (my 8 year old would struggle to sleep on it) I had been told when I had booked, that we had booked a double family room, with 2 rooms inter joined, so I went back down to reception, the girl told me the room we had booked was flooded, so they had to move us! I said it wasn't good enough, she just said it wasn't her fault, and there was nothing more she could do, and we had to wait for the manager to come in to complain. we said we would wait in the bar, so she told us he would come and find us when he came in. We saw him come in take his jacket off, and he pretty much just stood behind the bar on his phone, serving the odd customer, when I told him we were waiting, he had no idea what was going on! I explained again, he said, lets go and see how bad the family room is,(the one that was supposed to be flooded) I followed him, to my surprise, the beds were made up, the room was clean (ish) I couldn't believe it! He said we could have the choice of the two rooms, we took the bigger one (that we booked) but we had to changed the sheets from the other room for the sofa bed, ourselves!!

Breakfast- was actually very good, fresh well cooked, very nice indeed, although, We stayed away from the the dried fruit and cereal, as we saw the bowls on their tree's with cling film over the bowls, on the floor behind the bar!!!!! YUCK!

Apart from all that, the windows were being refurbished, so their were builders and tools every where, the skip and lorry's woke us up at around 7'0 clock every morning banging around in the car park, the bar was shut one of the nights so we had trouble even getting a drink.

In our room the toilet didn't flush properly, and 2 out of the 3 toilets downstairs were out of order. We didn't have a phone in our room (like stated) or a fridge, (Not stated but thought it would be as standard-maybe not?) And the single bed had defiantly seen better days, all ripped torn, and dirty on the base, and behind the double bed was a huge hole of ripped off plaster, the length of the head board!

I must say, the guy that dealt with our complaints was very apologetic, and even brought us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience, but to be honest, far too much was wrong with this place, we will never return.
To top it all off, the last morning at breakfast, we came down to all the tables full of dirty crockery, and dirty breakfast plates but no customers, we had to pull the last 2 clean tables together so we could have a table, because there was no body around to clear them!
I gave a "Poor" rating instead of a "terrible" because the breakfast was lovely, other than that, never again!!!

Brought this from Groupon and an excellent weekend we had.
As part of the deal, we had breakfast each morning and one evening meal.
While we were there they had an "Amy Winehouse" evening, and this too was excellent.
Good price for the show and Bufett style meal.
Dining room very spacious, and staff very helpful.
Am looking forward to a return visit this Spring.

My wife and I recently stayed over the night at this hotel. Amy, the young lady on reception was very friendly and proficient and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we had a good stay.

We decided to eat in the bar for our evening meal. There is an excellent variety and choice on the bar menu but unfortunately nothing that my wife liked so the chef, Tom, came out to see us and he made a number of menu choices and ended up cooking both of us something that wasn't on the menu. Again making us feel very welcome in the hotel.

The room that we stayed in was very nice if a little basic, but clean and comfortable, and we have been informed that the hotel will be receiving a refurbishment in January.

The next morning we came down for a buffet style breakfast which again was to a very high standard but we had the unfortunate luck to meet the general manager, Marian, who to give you an idea of what he is like reminded us both of Manuel from faulty towers, only not funny. He was rude to his staff and came across as sleazy.

Such a shame as he was the only thing wrong with this otherwise excellent hotel.

Excellent to see such great comments about our wonderful team and hotel. We have been very popular as usual for Xmas celebrations and are continuing to progress with all aspects of the hotel. It is always special for the company to have such great feedback and such wonderful guests as yourselves, please do try our new refurbished rooms after March 2013. Makes it even more special that you are new customers to us. We await your return.

My wife and I had Christmas lunch and stayed over night, the lunch was first class and our room had every comfort including complimentary mince pies and chocolates and a wonderful sea view. Marian the manager is a great host and is backed up by his hardworking receptionists Sarah and Amy and Tom the chef plus of course the rest of the friendly and helpful staff. The stay was topped off by a great buffet breakfast. We often call in for one of Tom's superb bar meals and we are always made most welcome.

My husband and i stayed at the Kingscliff hotel in November. It was where our friends evening wedding reception was held. We had a wonderful stay there, we were greeted by the manager who was very helpful and friendly. It was a lovely hotel right opposite the sea. Everyone seemed really friendly there and the room lovely and warm clean and cosy. The evening reception was very well done there. The cooked breakfast in the morning was really nice and tasty. I would love to go back there again.

We had our wedding reception here on the 20th October 2012 and it was amazing!! Marian and his team were brilliant and went above and beyond. We had a couple of hiccups regarding accommodation, but I didn't have to panic as Marian had everything under control, which is exactly what a bride needs on her big day!!! The sit down meal food was excellent and the evening buffet was also fantastic, with plenty of choice and replenished on a regular basis. We had brilliant comments about the venue from our guests about how smooth everything was and how professional and helpful the staff were. Marian was on hand to help with any request, I really can't thank him enough and he truly is a credit to his profession.
